meh.... i've never thought to highly of cherokees. The old boxy ones were good, the 2000ish ones were some of the biggest pieces of shit ever constructed by man.

Regular ass cherokees were the longest running, MOSTLY unchanged body style ever! 85-01. Hence the classic badges on the 99-01s. Bad head design on those years resulted in cracks between the cylinders. They were and still are badass....minus the ones with the shitty renix motors with the paperweight of a transmission BA10 pugeot(sp?) bullshit.
i miss mine and will only recognize this body style as a real cherokee...fuck this new shit.

I dunno the Cherokee was weird or anything from Jeep really. You could always seem to trust them when you really needed them. But driving to work just might be a "what if" kinda day.
AHAHAHAHAHA...so fuckin true. Mine would climb a damn mountain and drive home with zero issues and the next day it would decide to shit out a shift solenoid or something.
If it made a new noise i would just turn up the radio....if the noises went away i would be really worried.

My mom had a 2001 Grand cherokee and it was the most bizarre vehicle ive ever seen in my life. It was possessed. The lights had a mind of their own, it would just turn on when it was parked or at night and drain the battery. The lights would randomly go out and come on, head lights tail lights ect... everything electrical would just randomly black out. It overheated and knocked. Sometimes it would start and sometimes it would just ignore the key being turned. Once i refused to continue working on it she sold it.
Like a stupid woman..... she would always say " but i love the way it looks "..... and comment on how ugly my pathfinder was. So i made sure to give her shit every time the jeep broke down and needed to be towed.....
"look at that sexy jeep on the flatbed.... you sure you dont mind riding in this ugly pathfinder? i'll call you a cab if it's rugged manly looks are too much for you? "
then... like a woman, she would continue to comment...
"i feel like im sitting on the floorboard in this truck, my jeep has comfy seats "

Everyone I knew or still know with a Jeep always complained about Transmission and shift solenoid. I guess them dumbasses would rather worry more about making the Jeep ugly then to address the issues. Jeep has had some serious issues ever since they gave more power to the Europeans at daimlerchrysler in Germany.
Looks like Jeep is going head to head with the Juke for the ugliness trophy.
