Right, that makes it a modified PORSCHE not a totally separate make.

lol! Since when?! Only a few select cars have RUF VIN's, the rest are conversions performed by RUF with the original Porsche VIN intact. The true RUF CTR Yellowbirds are worth 50% more than the RUF conversions.

    This car is pretty sexy.

2.0L 911 on vintage bias ply tires.

EDIT: and yes, he's inducing oversteer by lifting during corner entry. It's one of the ways you drive a 911 on bias ply tires.

RUF is a legal automotive manufacturer. Anyone can buy a non-VIN'd body from just about any manufacturer: Porsche, BMW, even US domestic cars like GM have "crate" bodies/chassis available. Only a manufacturer can legally put a VIN on it though, RUF is one of them.

There were 29 orginal RUF VIN CTR Yellowbirds at about $280,000 each. Those are technically RUF's and not Porsche, the rest are Porsche conversions where customers brought them their cars. The CTR2 released in 1995 cost $315,000 and I believe only 16 were "manufactured" but I can't find an exact number for sure lol!

That's how you induce oversteer in any car silly (maybe tap the brake a hair to shift the weight forward too) but that's also how many people screw up bc they do lift in a turn...gotta be willing to get back on it hard ha!

But that driver does have BIG BALLS lol!

I could care less about the cars.....I just think the fact that you can't hit return after each photo so that they will stack right and not cause me to have to drag my screen sideways for miles is complete failure.

And for that, I hate you.

The reason you ask is no different than the reason you made this thread.

Btw...On RUF cars, the vins say made in Bavaria, not Stuttgart.

its not like that, its just some people dont care for these types of cars a passionately as you guys do, so therefore i ask.......so im guessing Bavaria is a pretty prestigious place and Stuttgart isnt?
