    Default WTB a good LS motor!

    I am looking for a good LS motor for my Civic! I just want a strong motor! Dont really care if it has the head or not cause im gonna do a ls/vtec anyways! Please let me know what yall have! Thanks!

    ok cool! That sounds good! About what kinda horsepower/torque will i be lookin at with the B18B1 motor, Si head, and Type R ECU? anyone know?

    probably around 170ish hp and around 140ish ft tq ??? thats a long shot but something around there .... btw wut you gonna do wit the b16 block ????

    i know a ls vtec is suppose to have right at or a lil better numbers than a Stock b18c5 ... well to the wheels anyway ..i think its why its referred to by a lil bit of people as the " POOR Man Type R "

    learn something new er day ... lol .... ive seen a stock ls vtec put down better numbers than a C5 .... and ive seen the numbers worse than a b18b1 ... depends if it was done correctly or not .... i believe mike will do a great job and you will love it regardless of the numbers it puts down ... i enjoyed thew **** out of my b1 .... image the b17 ..lol ...

    A LSVTEC with stock head and block, 155whp/120-125 tq TOPS.

    they NEVER MAKE 170whp an they certainly dont go anywhere NEAR 140 ft/lbs TQ.

    I think the highest i have seen was 157whp.

    They make what a STOCK GSR makes which is 150-155whp.

    AN they are not called POOR MANS TYPE_R. A Poor Mans Type-R is a GSR BLock with a b16 Head.

    A LS block with a VTEC head is just called an LSVTEC

    so slapping a vtec head on a b18 block produces less torque than the b18b1 has stock ???? if so then someones spec sheets on a b18b1 is way off ... but thats cool ... and that wasnt WHP ratings i said either .... that was estimating base HP and Tq .... i know for a fact that a b18c5 produces like 187whp .. but why is it rated for like 195 ???? end of story it was Estimation ... my fault .
