TW Takata Green Volk TE37s

OK TO CLEAR UP THE RUMORS ABOUT THESE WHEELS BEING CRACKED OR BEAT UP READ ON. FIRST OF ALL, WHEELS ARE NOT CRACKED, WHAT PEOPLE MEANT IS THAT THE PAINT HAS A CRACKED EFFECT BUT AS YOU ALL CAN SEE IN THE PICS. THE PAINT IS INTACT AND IS PROBABLY FROM THE HEAT CYCLES. ON ONE OF THE WHEELS LUG PATTERN, THE HOLES LOOK ELONGATED FROM A RETARD RIDING ON IT WITH LOOSE LUG NUTS, BUT BEEN RIDING ON THE RIMS FOR AWHILE WITH NO VIBRATIONS AND NO LUG NUTS COMING LOOSE. ALSO ON THE INNER BARREL OF ONE OF THE RIMS, THERE ARE SOME SCRATCHES FROM WHO KNOWS WHAT, NOTHING MAJOR. ANY OTHER CONCERNS JUST ASK.

Testing Waters, I don't want to sell the rims, but I need money BEFORE Christmas. If I can't sell them before Christmas I will probably keep them. Rims are REAL Volk TE37s, Takata Green, No curb rash, All stickers intact, No bends that I can see, Rims ride smooth, Blue Rays valve stems, Rims are 16x7 4x100 lug pattern, and I believe the offset is +40. One tire is blown, One tire is bald- no wires showing, One tire is a New Kumho, and other tire is BF Goodrich with 70% thread. Two good tires are 205/50/16.

$1500 OBO.

Will consider trades plus cash, mainly looking for NICE pink rims or another set of green rims, Enkeis RPF1s or some rims with a decent lip (example-OG old skool).

There was a set of green te37's on here that were BEAT up, and some guy got them painted/fixed POORLY. I guess the guy above was wondering if they were the same set or not.

The guy who sold the other set, detailed them perfect, met someone in person at like 11pm, and they were cracked..lol.

I am ALMOST positive these are the ones that went through my boyfriends hands - the ones that the dude sold us for 1000 bucks at 11pm, we got them home and took a good look at them and found out that one of the wheels was messed up, and the dude BLOCKED our numbers.

But like I said, I'm ALMOST positive.

no the wheels are not limited edition volk will paint their wheels custom colors for $75 extra per wheel and takata green is one of the popular colors

I'm pretty sure you traded a turbo kit for these to my buddy... who got the wheels in a trade on my boyfriends old hatch.

If so, they're definately the ones we had. Which were not real takata green te's. They were painted takata green by someone - notice there are no stickers on the inside and the paint is spider cracked.

Yes and yes. But how do you know they were repainted and what color were they originally? I know they are real Volks though.

just weigh one without a tire and see what it weighs thet will tell you if they are real or not

K. Yes they are real volks. As far as I know... If they're not, they're damn good replicas. But if you have ever seen a set of REAL takata green or mag blue or any painted volks, you can tell. The paint on those wheels is SHIT if you look closely at each wheel. Its not uniform. plus, if you look at the back of the wheel where it meets the tire, you can see the bare metal where someone had them painted with tires on them.

the wheels are real on the fake ones the lug holes are in different spots and line up with the spokes of the wheel. and the takata green paint is very bad about fading on those wheels also.

Not all of them. I know a couple sets that are going around that are being passed off as being real, that are actually replicas. One being from someone with QUITE a good reputation. But that's besides the point.

The paint isn't faded. Its cracked, has fingerprints and trash in it -- not volk paint, not painted BY volk, sure they might have started off takata green, but they've definitely been repainted.

the trash in the paint and the lack of stickers in the barrel kinda gives it away.

Yea the paint looks like it has spider webs in it but other than that looks perfect, I'm guessing it's from the heat of the brakes because the decals look the same and I doubt somebody can duplicate that. And about where the tire meets the rim, that's normal. I had a set of legit white Volks I personally bought new and after a little while the paint wore down from the friction of the tire against the wheel. But thanks for the heads up anyways.

Well I know these are real, they're stamped on the back. Like I said I see the cracks but paint is not peeling off because of the spider web effect. But I'm going to have to recheck for finger prints and trash in the paint because I don't see it. And stickers fall off due to effects of heat cycles, weather, brake dust, leaking calipers, etc.etc.etc.

I doubt it's really about the paint. The wheels were cracked/bent before...

Anyways, great seller! Oh, the hatch started to leak lol. I fixed it though.
