dang, pretty nice
Best i've seen in an AW11. I had one and it was hard as shit compared to my rx7, understeer and snap oversteer in large doses LoL. I'd like to see what he could do behind the wheel of an easier car to drift!

damn. hell of a driver
Holy body roll bat man, if I had that kind of power, I would give it a shot.

noice...that litle car was gettign it!
Very nice find! WOW for such underpowering. Apparently with the right kinda driver though it can be a fun little car.![]()

stock suspension is that cars weakest point...i don't get why you guys all think its underpowered...the 20V motors are easily capable of 200 to the ground...on such a light car that's more than enough
but you can slide anything really...just look at fawk's sigg...lol

oh aight...i just knew 16v were "easy" to build to 200 so i figured the 20v was beyond that...my bad, preciate it
...and to any of you guys that are saying you're having trouble sliding a RWD car, try adding a lil extra tire pressure to the rear's....honestly, i don't know of many cars that won't slide, just some easier that others
16v's are still very hard to get to 200 hp....my buddy has a built 16v motor: bored .20 over, Toda 82mm 11.3.1 CR pistons/forged rods/bearings/flywheel, TRD 272/264 cams/floater crank, head was rebuilt, ported, gasket matched and 5 angle valve job w/ kamikaze 9500rpm valves and springs, custom Dream Speed intake manifold, K&N intake,2.25" catless exhaust from stock header (its better than most aftermarket options). larger 330 injectors on stock modified rail w/alternate fuel pump, and custom Megasquirt ecu it put down 171whp@9300rpm/[email protected] a complete rocket and scary as hell to drive for such a light NA car...but 200 for him is pretty lofty. he's started on 7agze hybrid now thats a 7af 1.8l celica motor and the 4ag combined with the SC14 blower from the Previa SC...that built with ab 13-15lbs boost will put him in the 200 whp range pretty easily

oh damn...i had just seen a lot in the 200 range on the MR2 boards, maybe they were all the SC'd motors. i was thinking the AW's had a little better numbers from the factory too.Originally Posted by Sport20
well the n/a came with a 112hp motor stock (small port 85-86/large port 87-89 16v) that puts down right around 98whp...so the drivetrain loss is almost nothing!!! the silvertop 20v (160hp) and blacktop (165hp) motors, both high compression, VVT equipped with stock ITB's swapped in the cars make them an amazing track car. remember those are 1.6l motors that make better hp than even honda n/a (b16) and are capable of much higher numbers. so 171whp from a 1600cc motor is pretty good really. there are some guys in europe making 200+whp from the small port 16 valves with stock headers but they arent very streetable. also toyota atlantic series still uses the small port 4ag in some of their cars making 240-250 whp and able to rev past 12k (restricted to 9-10k)!!

Fucking awesome driver.
I talked to a guy who dynoed his stock FWD Corolla FX-16, and he claimed it put down 88 horses. So I'm assuming most small port 4A-GE's, unless built to high hell are typically, only going to be putting down about 90-120 horses to the ground.
In an AE86 those 88 horses are enough to scoot the car through the quarter in 16 seconds. With a 20 valve you'd be looking at atleast another 30 wheel horsepower. An additional 30 horses in a car weighing next to nothing makes for quite the peppy drive.
Robby, I love the pic in your sig.! FUCKING SICK! <3
