    NO WAY IN HELL! THIS WAS SHOT AT ACTUAL SPEED NOT BY SPEEDING UP THE FILM. Plus this is real driving with no stunt men! smokey and the bandit was cool but that bridge jump is all hollywood and was not filmed at speed!

    i agree best car chase ever. love that movie. Steve McQueen was a bad ass. I believe that is a boss 429.

    It is not a boss 429. wrong year for that. It is just a 2+2 fastback with a 289 hipo. still a pretty cool little car.

    you guys are both mistaken! its a 68 mustang fastback it has a 390 bigblock with a toploder 4 speed! 2+2 fastbacks were 65-66. 67-68 was the first year for big block mustangs you had a choice of a 390 which this fasback had or a 428 FTW!

    That car has a Nascar motor in it. They made two for the film. Look it up on wiklipedia.

    The car chase in the original French Connection is a very close second. good post though.

    Would've been better if there was more talking involved between the bad guys but its still a good chase.

    ford makes the bullit edition cars and color just for this badass scene

    word is they are going to make a new bullitt mustang that should be more powerful than the last pos one they came out with

    yeah they are, not much more power though, i think 325. i got it in the new 5.0 but don't feel like going to get it.
