    I've heard about that exact same play before. It is dirty IMO, but legal.

    it would have been hilarious if a kid on the other side knew what was going on and tackled that qb when he was walking to the sideline. the crowd would be like WTF????

    Funny you say that. When I coached football this year, we actually told our boys often that we didn't care what was going on....if the ball moved, you had to tackle the man with the ball. We even gave them this very play as an example. Our boys actually listened, because several times during the season the opposing center either wiggled the ball or moved it to a different position and our boys flattened the center/QB out.

    I'd never seen the play actually live, but we'd all heard about it. Kinda like a myth thing. I'm glad now that we practiced it. I'm going to show my son this tonight.
