hey now, its just my simple opinion. I worked at a dealership, i worked around the cars, did basic work (only on C5's). The build quality is just crap on them. The interior squeaks, the radio came from a damn Pontiac Sunfire and they leak oil after 10k miles. Fast car? Sure.. not saying it isnt. But its the build quality that kills the car.

BTW Ericp, the wheels on your SRT compliment the car nicely.

I can say this. I hate corvettes. I hate their owners too. I can say this because my dad is a Viper owner. No, it is not a Viper EGO thing. Corvette guys are dicks. They think the Cpos is so bad ass and always so much better than a viper. They all wear their 80's members jackets and leather jackets and think they rule the streets cause they bought an overpriced V8 when they coulda got a 10cyl monster.

anyways, people can say the viper owners are dicks. I kno these guys personally (club members) and they are great guys who just want to have fun.

I have ridden in both one after another (no street racing) and that is what I would suspect. 510hp compared to 505, 3,410 lbs. vs 3150. So just driving around on the street I doubt you'd notice a difference, unless you were racing a vette/viper.

As a matter of fact, yes. I have compared the 2, and the build quality of a Viper did seem better then a C5. But once again, im not comparing performance of the cars, so dont think i am, im just saying the build quality of the Corvette (as well as pretty much all GM cars) is cheap and toy-like.

now I will agree about alot of vette owners being assholes. When I lived in Orlando, the first time I saw a C6 Z06 on the interstate, me and a buddy of mine tried to get him to get on it a little. Dude wouldn't even look at us, guess cause we were in a 94 4 cylinder S-10 lol. When I took my SRT to the track I met 2 viper owners and they were both cool as shit.
As far as the cars themselves go. I love both the Viper and the Vette. My dad owned a C5 vette and it was a very nice car. Haven't been in a Viper unfortunately. Either way they are both just a Dodge and a Chevy.

You have a nice car, and that's lovely, but all you do is gloat about it on these boards like it's the best thing since sliced bread.
