New SR20DET has about between 120 and 135 psi for new engine...
    But this compression is reasonable...
    Other 1 motor has 115,95,105,105
    and other one had 105,65,60,95
I think the second one had worn piston ring or it has too much gap between the
cylinder and piston ring... the compression was no good....
Don't worry man...I know what to buy I know the compression...
I always check the compression before i buy motors~~~

Oh and plus that... SR20DET is Turbo engine... SO it should have low compression
Duh~!!! The compression for Turbo and Non-Turbo is different~!
And This car still runs... If you wanna test drive come to my work place
the car is ready to drive!!!

ha, the compression should be higher than 135, even if was brand new.... mines stock internally and has like 163 all the way back. good luck with this one.....

lol..... i don't know where u got that red top,,, but it won't go over to 135...
call nissan dealer for spec. You can't have high compression unless you change
high compression piston... And i think that u dun know if u have high compression
piston cuz u won't be able to tear down whole engine...
If u don't know about compression readin.... then well go find some auto
repair shop or call dealer to learn compression readin man~! Good Luck!!!

Are you serious? Stock sr compression should be like 160.

I had a blown piston ring and my compression was 50 in that cyl.

I had 125 at the max in the. Stop fucking making shit up..

both of those motors are TRASH. stock spec is 156psi with a minimum of 128psi for the SR20DET. apparently the only thing you know how to buy is junk motors.

    Your motor is junk!

Every motor you looked at was junk.

That motor is in need of a rebuild....

    you can drift motors.....

nahh! But that's hilarious you busted him on that! I caught a few people like that once they want to make it sound like a quality sale by posting detailed info about the motor! It wouldn't be a hard fix for anyone who gets their hands dirty though....

    G*luck with sale I guess

Okay, im with you guys. But IF, keyword IF, he tested the motor before install; then it was more than likely with a jumpbox. In which case you would not have the engine at operating temperature which could explain the low compression numbers. Heat expands things, everyone knows this. Including your piston rings to seal the cylinders. So cold motor= low compression. A better way to tell would be to go look at it, let it get to temp, then test it yourself.......IMHO

true that.... it is hard to do a real compression test with the motor being out. NAD typically has good motors. its really hard to tell... either way its already out of the car and wouldnt be to much of a hassle to rebuild.

What the fuck~ yall don't know shit about S13...
Call NAD auto!!! they got the compression readings too....
Damn man~ Learn Learn Learn how to read damn compression!!!

Or Read the damn books why turbo engine need low compression!!!
If you really wanna know why Turbo need Low compression? then
send me private msg!!! then i will explain to you personally
I had 3 msg already that ppl know spec readin...

i tested my redtop cold when i had it and it hit 145psi on every cylinder. i'm not trying to shit on his thread but i know the proper specs on these motors and the shit he's quoting is total bunk. i have a nissan FSM sitting in front of me where i got my specs from, not some dealership taking a wild guess on the phone .
