    Default FS: 1993 Civic CX Hatch D16z6 Turbo

    Well i've decided to part ways with my hatch to pick up another bike, cant stand not being on 2 wheels any longer...


    1993 CX hatch
    Title: clean and in hand
    146,### on chasis
    89,### on z6 swap (will have block code in the morning)


    Turbo setup (installed 4,000 miles ago)

    14b turbo (8psi)
    HF manifold with adapter plate
    1st gen DSM BOV
    Oil cooler
    JR FMIC
    DSM 450cc injectors


    Tuning:

    Chipped P28 with Uberdata
    VAFC comes with the car, its just being used for a tachometer...



    Exterior:

    Well it was painted flat black primer by the previous owner... The body is pretty straight except for the drivers side door which has a nice lil dent in it, and the rear bumper has some scrapes in it.



    Interior:

    As I said above the VAFC, air/fuel gauge, oil pressure gauge, and boost gauge. I have all of the interior pieces out right now because I am shampoo'ing them and cleaning them up. But as of right now it is mildy gutted.


    Engine:

    Runs like a champ, no leaks and purs like a kitten... The engine is basically stock except for the turbo setup, she is running open downpipe right now and its not really that loud...


    I bought the car from a buddy of mine about 4 months ago, that has owned it for the past 3 years. We did the Z6 swap about a year ago, then when I bought it I put the turbo setup on...


    I'm sure many are going to ask, I have taken her to the track ONCE... Our local 1/8th mile track and well lets just say I had some bad luck, somebody not to mention names forgot to put the filter on the turbo and our tracks pit area is gravel and I slung some debree in the turbo and ate the fins up on the 14b but I did not know it when I went to run. Well I get out there and run and she ran a 9.20 @ 79mph but was building boost slowly and making a weird noise that I couldnt make out but I just figured it was a boost leak so I tightened everything down and went to make another pass which yeiled pretty much the same time but was still building boost slowly so I thought I had a leak. Well I give up for the night, head home and get to checking her out and I stick my hand in the turbo to feel the blades and there a lil damaged so I pull it off and there was my problem. So long story short it ran a 9.20 in Handicap mode lol, she's got alot more in her and has run side by side with a couple cars that have ran 8.70's... I have picked up a new 14b to put on I just havent gotten a chance to do it yet with my schedule...

    Update: Put the new 14b on and well it is shot, had no shaft play what so ever when I picked it up but after driving it down the road and getting it moving around it has about an inch of shaft play side to side. I might be picking up a 16g tomorrow so if I pick it up and install it the price will rise a lil bit...


    Price: $2500

    Within the next couple weeks she may be getting tossed in the paint booth, if I do that of course the price will rise...


    I will get some better pictures of the whole car tomorrow...

    The LS wheels are not on the car anymore, just got rid of them the other day... She is now rolling on 14" hubcaps

    not a bad price..

    any suspension work?

    any Dyno numbers? WHP/WTQ? how many PSI?

    no a/c i assume based on the picture

    why sell it? the cx is the lightest of the hatches and there is so much you can do to it even with the sohc motor. if you decide not to sell check out turbod16.com its for nothing but sohc turbo cars and it may change your mind.

    Well I dont want to sell it, but I get tired of things quickly... And plus 2 wheels is calling my name again lol. Yea i'm a member or on turbod16.com and it is crazy what you can do with a d-series, there's quite a few guys pushing over 400whp with not even 1,000 bucks in the engine just some $125 Vitara pistons and some rods and your good to go...

    j/w whered you get your adapter plate from, mine was from MBC, but im just curious are there other companies putting them out now or did you make this one?

    Rossville, GA. Nah there is nothing else wrong with it, she was my daily driver and I put those 4,000 miles on her in about a month or so lol so she drives good and plenty of fun. As far as the interior goes, the back plastics are there, the interior is out but was removed to be cleaned because they were dirty and I was planning on stealing my buddies shampoo'er to clean em... Just let me know if you'd like to come take a look at her as well.
