you are aboslutly right a stock good running and yes clean "meaning no rust" GTS can easy beat that but this is IA so im not sweating it there will be one who either has teh mr2 or the cash im lookin for, for it if not then ill swap the sr20 in it and build it to my top notch standards really i just wanted a mr2 to sit beside my mkiv supra but i do love my 86 so im seeing what people would offer besides it somes with free parts *cough* 4agze blower and all parts to convert *cough* so ill entertain offers but dont test my patience with lowballers or shitty cars

Even with rust in the usual spots they can net more than that...was offered $3k for one we had $120.00 in (yeah, longgg story...starting with a free GT-S) ...I'm trying to get a hold of it now or go with a bmw 2002 i've had my eye on forever.

sweet IMHO you should keep that car and do the swap, with GZE bottom end (forged rods, 8.0.1 comp pistons) E/H/I and a NST pulley and your set!!! id love to swap a GZE in my 89....but im going to just do a ST 20valve if i keep it

for the amout that would cost you could keep it in the family and drop in a 3SGTE (then u can have some part of an MR2)... they make way better power anyway, and sounds soooo much cooler
