Well, after a lot of thought and work, I'm putting up the corolla for sale.

Make:Toyota
Model:Corolla 2door "sedan" 5 speed
Year:1981 w/ 1980 front clip
Mileage: not totally sure...the spedometer works and shows somwhere over 100K
Options: AC, defrost I think. It was some sort of deluxe model when made
Mods: Car has a header on it, it's been lowered with cut springs, Supra rims 14x7 with BRAND NEW 195/60/14 Tires.
Engine: 3tc toyota 1.8lt

Condition: Car runs and drives great...lots of possibilities for it. I have extra factory springs for the rear since it is so low. I swapped the complete front slip and passenger door over from my 1980 parts car. All lights are wired up and ready, plus I have a brand new set of HELLA headlights to go in for the new owner.

The car had some slight suspension damage when I first bought it and I fixed most of it. You can tell in a couple pics that it still has some camber issues on the front passenger side. It appears the frame is tweaked slightly and is about 1/2 off. I'm sure there are lots of places that could pull it no problem for not a lot of money.

It's a really fun car, wish I had time to finish it, but all the work I did to it was in the off season, and now I wont have much time again to do stuff with it.

Front seats aren't that great, other than that, its ready for a paint job and some fine tuning.

Small rust issues on the driver's side quarter panel but those should be a pretty easy fix....JAMSPEED on here has a great set of Mikuni carbs and an intake manifold that I was planning on buying but I'm sure he'd give the new owner a great deal on them.

I did sell it to a friend, who bought a parts car for it, and then I loved it so much I bought it back from him and did a lot of work to it...

My wife has watched my have like 15+ cars in the past couple years, so it's time for her to get what she wants...I think a Honda Pilot, so I've gotta sell all my toys and make some downpayment money.

Hey Rich...

PArts car has a great body with the exception of the front door and complete front end, since I switched them from this car.

I had thought about cutting the quarters, but someone else could really just put a front end on from the junkyard and built that one too. I took the radiator out so this car would have an extra and the fan, otherwise I didn't touch it. It has two carbs in the back seat too.

The car runs great, I drove it all over yesterday before I blew the clutch, but its probably better it went now, and then someone will be really happy with it.

It's a 5 speed so it cruises fine on the highway. It will need an alignment cause it pulls the right pretty good, but if there's something else related to the suspenion that you need, it's all on the parts car.

And I'm not getting another corolla for a while, so I have to sell this one with the supra wheels.

Rich, I think as a whole, the clutch, alignment, and maybe some slight tuning of the carb is all it would need to be a good daily driver. Once the car gets warm it idles great, but you have to keep some slight throttle to it if it's cold.

So basically if I wanted I could get the parts car as well or strip off of it what I wanted?

Rich I don't have any engine shots or shots of the interior I dont think. the two front seats are pretty rough. I was going to either throw some covers on for the short term, or ideally just put some nice race buckets up front. Corolla GTS seats and MR2 first gen seats fit perfectly in there I've read.
The back seat's in good shape. Seatbelt on either side. Carpet's in good shape.

My friend I sold it to made a nice short shifter for it...

Def. has a few kinks to work out, but a fun fun car for sure. It lit up the tires on the crappy clutch, so I have a feeling once the clutch is in this week, it should be a quick little toy.
