This thing is fast though. Where we have been racing recently in Chatsworth, we run around 65-70 on clay track. Larger 1/4 mile tracks run around 80mph. This is very fast for a gocart on dirt track. If you were to go to limited modified class(more powerful motors) they can run 100+ on larger tracks.

Thanks bro, hopefully it doesn't rain and get all nasty tomorrow and I can come get the bike. When you get this jeep though, don't be out there trying to repeat us almost flipping it.

thanks for the bumps guys. Don't forget, to the buyer, as long as you race on a local track here around atlanta, we are willing to go with you for the first couple of races. To kind of teach you the ropes, setups, etc.

Nice KART.. yes, spelled with a K

CART is for a yard cart or a go-cart... the kind you find at a mini-golf place.

Trust, me.. lol, I raced them for 11years of my life (yes, I know.. I'm only 20).. well, I still have a few, but the nearest tracks are like out of fucking state!!!!!! :jerkit: I think I was just too spoiled with having like 4 tracks within a 30min drive from my old house back in California lol

well ya.. I'd be interested in another setup.. but, no offense.. you're kart is too 'grass-roots' for me..

Good luck, and you get a free bump since you nearly spelled "KART" right

Tylor, I live in Cartersville, and there are several tracks within an hour of me. Off the top of my head: Jasper, Blue Ridge, Calhoun. I know there is one off of Bells Ferry also, but I have never been there so i don't even know what kind of racing it is.

King, the motor is a 5hp briggs, it is built and puts down probably around 10. It runs on methanol and turns around 7200 rpm.

Tylor, as for the grass roots thing, lol, yeah. A couple of years ago we had about a 25,000 dollar setup. Full trailor that was heated and cooled with tools, tire rack, scales, the works. We also had about 15 sets of tires and wheels, around 5-6 motors, and usually 3 chassis' at the same time. We built our own motors, setup our own chassis, everything. We decided to sell everything, got around 19,000 for it all. About a year later, we though it would be fun to buy some more to kind of play occasionally. It last year, we ran 3 races. Ran 1, had the motor freshened, ran 2 more and haven't ran again in several months. This cart always ran up front with my step dad racing, except when stupid shit broke(linkage fell off once, and throttle cable broke) We don't have as much now as before because it was just supposed to be for fun on occasions.

I need to correct my info on the tracks.
Jasper is closed, but rumor is that it may reopen.
Blue Ridge and Calhoun are clay track.
    Bells Ferry is concrete.

South of Atlanta, there are even more choices. But I have never been there.

BUT THIS KART IS SETUP FOR CLAY(DIRT TRACK)!!!!

Asphault can be fun. I have run in excess in 100 in a limited modified on a 1/4 mile clay track before. That is scary.

Really? I haven't even looked into that all too much.. I haven't even unpacked our kart trailer since we moved here (since November 2004).. lol, don't laugh.. but, wow.. I'll definately have to look into that!! thanks for telling me that. but yea, I only stick to concrete and tarmac tracks... no clay or oval for me.. I started out on clay, and dicked around with oval in my offtime, but concret and tarmac circuits are my choice of racing..

    btw, speedminded.. very nice setup

My dad just bought my little brother a CRG :jerkit:

But, I've been rolling Trackmagic from since like my earlier days in karting.. hahaha. I swear, no one can persuade me enough to get me out of trackmagic and into a Tonykart or a CRG.. lol or anything for that matter..

well, anyways, here's my newest setup... I bought this the weekend b4 we moved out here... I ran it only once. lol, and I've sat in it about 50x in the trailer and pulled it out once to show some friends.. lol but, damnit.. thats a $9k investment in just THIS kart for it to be sitting here like this. lol

    anyways, here she blows.. FTR-250R

Lol, sucks they just sit though. I would be out in the neighborhood driving around. Piss off some neighbors. Bellsferry is concrete, but I don't know if it is oval or what. Other than that, I hear there are some very nice tracks of all kinds south of atlanta.

Ya, I have two 125 Trackmagic shifters, a KT100 Trackmagic kart for just dicking around, and also my new FTR-250r..

Shit, I still have a 30' trailer.... lol

It really is a damn shame this shit just sits.. lmao

Right now, I have an extra rolling chassis for each class I used to run in, 100cc pro-am, 125cc shifter intermediate, and now I only have just a barebones FTR-250 chassis... with brakes, floorpan, and gastank already on it.. lol.. I think I still have a couple crates of mounted tires.. I think maybe about a good 30 or so pairs of tires, all brand new, I think only about 20 or so pairs are already scrubbed... and I'd say I still maybe have about 1 blueprinted KT100, and 2 bonestock 125 engines lying around.. and shit, I can't even mention all the spare parts... Its rediculous..

I used to run every damn weekend when I was younger...

It is easy to get lots of shit. Takes time though and before you know it, bam. You look around one day and go 'shit, I got like 50,000 bucks worth of crap'. Depressing in ways. We ran clay because it is LOTS cheaper that shifter carts. Setups are a little trickier(this is my opinion, not trying to start shit, lol). I only think this part just because I believe in clay there are more track conditions. It changes from the beginning to the end of the night. Although I would love to run shifter karts. For the price though, I could build me a true dirt track car and run dixie and such. I did get bored running around in circles though.

Then there is always the fights. Ahhh, yes the fights. I am sure you have seen plenty of those. Nothing pisses me off more then someone purposely running you off the track. That is grounds for an ass woopin'. That, and I always love the ones that stop by your trailor and start runnin' their mouth and cussing you. This has always been my favorite part of racing. I am by no means a big guy. But I can beat some ass if you make me mad enough.

lol.. Oh, I know.. well happy birthday bro.. lmao

And yes, I've encountered HUNDREDS of fights, if not hundreds of thousands..lol, jk. But yea, I've SEEN ALOT. and been invloved in quite a few (never my goddamn fault, lol)..but, they have always been because of some fucker riding my ass going into a corner, or someone coming out of the apex and sliding into my nerf bars or putting me off into the grass..

I've been known to wait for their asses to come around on another lap and throw my helmet at them. LOL.... haha, no joke.. but that was only once, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

anyways, yea, I bet you I've gone and blown my college money 3times over by now on just karting.

My next step up from karting is SCCA Solo II, then GT-4 class SCCA sactioned.. then eventually, I really am aspiring to become the next Michael Schumacher, or Mario Andretti...

I've been into auto racing my entire life, and since when I got my license, back when I was 15 1/2, I have been getting more hardcore into it.. lol.. Since, I turned 16, I've been behind the wheel at over 141 hours of professional driving school, and on my own time, ventured to hundreds of Auto-X days, and SOOO MANY karting events.. its not even funny. lol

well anyways, I'm off to sleep.. but first, i need to whore my myspace!!!!!!! *ninja*

    lol

Keep livin' your dream man. I have a cousin who I still see a few times a year that started out in clay on karts, the dirt track cars. He started this season driving craftsman truck series. I can't remember his real name though, so I couldn't find it. We call him Willy, lol.
