You are doing pretty damn well if you get one for $7k if it's in good shape and less than 120k miles. It will happen sometimes when the seller doesn't know what they have, but those don't stay on the market for very long. I've seen a sub 10,000 mile NA bring $17k in 2005 and there is a 29,000 mile 94 NA for sale right now that I know will bring $11k. There's not a day that goes by that I don't look for new 94+ ads. I don't think your understanding of the MR2 market is as good as you think it is. Granted, I agree $7k for the one mentioned in this thread is too high, but the rest of the MR2 prices you have quoted are quite off the mark to say the least.
