    Default FS: 1985 BMW 745i Turbo-euro edition

    SOLD !!!!!!!




    Make: BMW
    Model: 745i TURBO - Grey Market European Edition-Legally imported and federalized
    Year:1985

    Mileage: Aprox 95K- odometer stopped at 86 a couple years ago, Auto tranny with selected modes of economy, sport, and 3-2-1

    Options: Tons and tons of options... most importantly the buffalo hide interior, HUGE Sunroof, power seats, power locks, power windows, front and rear fog lights

    Mods: Car is stock with factory turbo, lowered with Bilstein HD's. Great power and speed. Everything is EURO Spec, including all bumpers, lights, etc.

    Car has 16'' TSW Stealth's with good tires on all four. Not sure of the brand. Two are dunlop I think.

    Engine: I believe its a 3.5 factory turbo, runs great, might need tune up, great boosting ability according to my research

    Condition:

    The car was never produced in the US. It was imported and federalized to make it legal. I have a clean Texas title and it is ready to go. I can furnish the VIN to any serious parties.

    Car as a whole is in great shape. There are a few things here and there that will need attention. Car will probably need a paint job. Paint was fading on the sunroof, and I touched it up. Light surface rust on the bottom of a couple doors.

    Interior of the car is totally pimp. All original Buffalo hide interior, all power seats. The rear seat has a armrest that folds down and allows the rear person on the passenger side to adjust the front seat remotely so that they are most comfortable... this was just one of the many cool things on an "executive model"

    I have over $7000 in receipts for the car for the past 5 years and it was barely driven. The car is extremely rare, and a real fun car to drive around.

    Several people can vouch for the car, including Smokin Joe who can attest to its speed and power, especially once the boost builds.

    PRICE: $4500 OBO OR Trade ? Miata, 240, something else... who knows.

    rut- u have some tight cars....my buddy and i swapped a turbo from the euro 735i onto his 91 535i 5-spd...it was a chore, but sooo cool...i love grey market cars..and i'd love to have the dorifto limetime truck :-)

    I should mention that last summer the entire AC system was replaced and retrofitted with all the new stuff and it works perfectly...

    That was almost 3 grand right there.

    you interested in a 99 R1 at all???


    i was under the impression the the BMW model numbers were in series-engine size format (ie - 318 is 3 series with 1.8L, 325 is 3 series with 2.5L) .....this could be different thought because of the FI...dunno

    You are exactly right.. this one apprently factored in the FI and added size to it. At least, that's what I found in my research.


    What's really funny is lots of my friends with bikes have been offering me these bad ass bikes as a trade, and yet, I told my wife last year that I'd never get another boke since she lets me do whatever I want with cars...its a trade off.

    But, if you want to try and sell your bike and make me an offer, I'm down with that.

    Thanks Buford...I bet you'd love it....I had it at the Varsity last thursday night under the deck, and since the NASCAR season is about to begin, I don't know how many meets I'll make it to...

    But, as soon as you sell the CL, let me know and we'll go from there.

    Someone is talking to me about trading a Miata and some cash, plus I took BMW's advice and listed it on Bimmerforums, so I'm not sure what kind of interest it will generate...

    But if anyone wants to see one that really hooked up, look at cardomain for a 85 or 86 7 series that's black with these 18'' M Parallel wheels... its hot shit.

    Have you listed this on atlanta.craigslist.com ? Try there, im sure a bmw collector will buy it. I listed my old bmw on there and a collector came by and bought it. Brought cash too, didnt haggle on the price.
    Nice bmw. Im a fan of older bmw's ive had 2 diff ones, currently ive got a 325i convertible id never part with.
