    Im selling my 1999 gsx to keep me outta trouble, come to a point in my life where i realized i guess i need to just focus on school make some money and move on, ill have a fast car later on in life but its my baby, id like to get about 14k for it, considering all the work i have in it and the low miles and the car really rolls out!

    I am the 2nd owner i bought this car at 51k from a Jaguar dealership in NY, owned previously by a 60year old man driven 7k a year, both me and him were non smokers, everything on the car works no faults!

    thanks guys!! hopefully i can sell it soon, the car really rolls out though, it should be making 380-400 to the tires on race gas, it went 7.9 @ 89 on pump gas and trapped 90 on pump gas in the 8th this is without cams and at only 18psi!!! on race gas with the cams at 24psi+ it for sure would go mid 7's in the 8th if not lower shold be trapping 93-94 in the 1/8th as well, its a high 11 second car and its my daily driver!!!

    Man i am with g up top i would b all over it if it was a 6bolt me and crank walk dont get aloan,but man u have a very nice dream car dude no rice looking sh** free bump since i had the 1g tsi and i love dsm.

    thanks man i understand where your coming from, but none of my buddies with 2g's have had problems with crankwalk, happened the least in the 99's , but i appreciate it!!

    Not trying to step on any toes, but if you look around on some dsm forums there have been more 6bolts CWing rather than 7's. What a lot of people don't take in to consideration and realize is that EVERY motor is proned to crankwalk, some more than others.


    Also a lot of it has to do with the years of 2g's. The 2gA's (95-96) Are a lot more proned to CW rather than the 2gB's (97-99) Theres a myth that when Chrysler took over, there was a bad batch of cranks that escaped due to faulty tollerances when machining the crank and which Chrysler caught this in the 2gB's.

    My DSM has 170k and is flawless, getting it rebuilt right now and there was no need to have the crank turned, the journals were great, and had 0 signs of crankwalk with 300whp daily driven for over 50k Food for though

    i saw this car in ooltewah at a gas station a week ago or so, it idles like a v8, good sounding car. I would like to pick it up but i got my eyes on a 03 cobra after i sell my SH clean car though.

    FYI 99 model year 7bolts have a different block design that does not 'walk. Mitsubishi claims it was a "resolved problem" for the 99s.

    ya thats what i hear, well no crankwalk on mine runs great i know it happened the very least in the 99's so maybe so

    If crankwalk scares you. You can always slap a 6bolt in there. But I doubt this car will crankwalk.
