Default 91 mr2 turbo fully built 470rwhp clean!

    Make: Toyota
    Model: MR2 turbo sw20
    Year: 1991
    Mileage: 127,000
Options: Turbo, T-tops, manual steering rack
    Mods: See below
    Engine: 3sgte with 2.2 5sfe crank, making 2.2L 3sgte
    Condition: Excellent running and driving
PRICE: 16,000 OBO, and open to trade of equal value

I am finally putting up for sale my 91 mr2 turbo. I go to the local meets alot so many of you will recognize this car. I have owned it for 7 years and have really put my heart and soul into building it. I have replaced nearly every part in the car and have ALWAYS bought the nicest parts possible when upgrading or replacing(factory Toyota parts or better). This car is fully built and the performance has been upgraded in every possible way. The engine is a forged stroker motor with a forced performance GT3076HTA billet wheel turbo, the transmission is actually out of a toyota solara v6(much stronger than the mr2 tranny), the brakes are upgraded, suspension is fully upgraded, body has been upgraded to 95 spec, literally everything has been upgraded to maintain a balance in performance. It made 470 rear wheel HP on a dynojet @ 26psi on 93 pump(actually made it and still makes this number). If you want to break 500hp just put race gas in the tank and retune, 470 was plenty enough for me. I keep it at 16psi daily which made 370rwhp, and yes it's ridiculously fast. I have a book of receipts for everything I've bought, and a motor build sheet showing all the machine specs from the machine shop. All the mechanical work has been done by me personally. Oil and spark plugs were always changed at 3k miles, synthetic was always used. ECU tuning was done by Ed Snef at Balanced Performance in Sugar Hill, and also by me. Machine work and motor assemble was done by Jeff Hankin at NOMSG(formerly sunbelt race engines). The only reason I'm selling it is I have been working full time and have also been taking college part time, so I have literally no time left for the car. It's taken me a long time to let go, but I realize that it would better for someone else to enjoy it than for the car to sit in my garage.
The two has always been garage kept and is in great condition cosmetically and mechanically. It runs perfect and I daily drove it without a second thought for many months. Paint is BASF Toyota 202(factory color) black and about 3 years old. There are no problems with the body other than a slight scrape on the rear bumper, it is purely cosmetic and not structural at all. The rear end got away from me once and rubbed a guard rail, very slight impact. The interior is in fantastic shape and actually most of the reason why I bought the car. Only the shifter surround plastic is broken. Also the driver seat is a little torn on the shoulder bolster from getting in and out with bucket seats. I will post detailed pics of everything. Mechanically the car runs perfect, and I will post a parts list below of everything I can remember. There are literally so many parts in this car I can't quite remember them all, but I will try. The car comes with all receipts and tons of photos from all the mods I did. If I get my asking price I will also include extra parts I have for the car, like new t-top seals or extra parts I never installed(an a2w intercooler setup).
I am asking $16,000 for the car, and will consider REASONABLE offers. The parts in the car add up to way more than that, not to mention the car itself or even the labor for building it. Building this car would cost you way more than 16k, so this is an exceptional deal. We can also possibly work out a price where I remove some parts and replace with stock. I am accepting trade offers, but THE TRADE MUST BE WORTH CLOSE TO MY ASKING PRICE!!! I will consider anything, as long as the value is equal to 16k. If your trade is worth less, then you have to add cash, simple as that. I prefer a newer car, like 2006 and above but will consider older.

    GOOD
Reliable high hp mr2 that was built with only the best parts and runs on pump gas, no searching for e85 stations or carrying extra race fuel.
relatively stock looking body, total sleeper. No one expects when I turn it to high boost and blow past them.
Factory Manual steering rack, gives exceptional road feel and the car is so light the steering is light even in parking lots
All service items were changed with recent head rebuild so no major service is needed for the car until another 60k miles. Seriously, just change oil and do tune ups.
Passes GA emissions inspection every year, and the car will come with everything you need to pass emissions.
    EVERYTHING WORKS!

    BAD
No AC(intercooler is too big and the compressor won't fit, if you moved to a trunk mount intercooler you could reattach the AC)
A few interior bit are cracked like the shifter surround(but super easy to replace)
    scrape on rear bumper
Driver seat is a bit torn from getting in and out of a low car
Slight oil leak from oil drain fitting on turbo(like 1 drop a night, extremely slight)
Wiring in driver side door is getting water in it and making the windows not work for a few seconds. This is a common problem with the 91 cars, wiring just needs to be rewrapped inside the door.
Thats it! Seriously, this car is super clean and well maintained.

Call 770-four zero two 888o for any questions.

    CHASSIS
91 mr2 turbo t-top with 124k miles. Always been in the south, no rust whatsoever.
weighed in at 2700 even with no spare or tools.
3 year old paint BASF factory black.
94-95 trunk lid and spoiler, jdm taillights, front moulding.
Madpsi carbon fiber front lip(super rare and special order only)
extra shine auto front lip(never painted or installed)
    clear corners on front bumper
Rouge motorsports rev 6 lowrise headlight conversion with The Retrofit Source 5000k HID upgrade(very high quality xenon kit, not cheap ebay crap).
    NEW optima Yellow top battery
    Rolled fenders front and rear

    DRIVETRAIN
3sgte based 2.2 stroker motor with 5sfe crank, eagle rods, and wisco stroker pistons. bottom end has 20k miles
fully ported, deshrouded, and blueprinted head with ferrea 1mm oversized valves, ferrea dual valve springs, titanium retainers, viton valve seals, (super nice spring kit) and hks 264 cams on intake and exhaust. 2000 miles on head

KO racing engine lid shroud with two 11" spal fans
Just changed all ignition components(spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor, and wires)

    FUEL SYSTEM
Pro series Jay's racing Bosch 044 fuel pump mounted intank 330lph pump
Fuel pump rewire running 12 gauge wire straight from the battery to pump using a 50amp relay

    TRANSMISSION
2002 Toyota Solara v6 gearset dropped into factory mr2 case(30k miles). This is a very custom mod and the only way I could stop breaking 3rd gear. The Solara gear set is much stronger and all gears are longer, especially 5th so you get better gas mileage.

AME Circlar spec R wheels F=17x8 ET35 R=17x9 ET42 18lbs fully forged 2 peice wheels(I had these custom ordered for the mr2 from Japan, took 3 months to get them. They are the perfect size and offest for the mr2 and allow the biggest tires possible on stock fenders)
Tires dunlop direzza z1 star specs 225/45/17 and 265/40/17 80% tread left (these tires are amazing, insanely sticky)

    BRAKES
    Slotted and drilled rotors
    Porterfield carbon/kevlar pads(very quiet)

Sparco sprint JR bucket seats and rails (super nice and really hold you in place, suprisingly comfortable too)

Here is the dyno graph. I have one that actually says 470 and 391 on it, but It has my old turbo dyno also so it is harder to read. I'll get engine bay shots soon when I get it all cleaned up.

Dammit! This always happens... I buy a bunch of crap for the house and this is what pops up for sale... All I could offer you is a nicely modded Miata and My all CF Ducati Monster S4. Close, but not the figure your looking for.

That bike sounds HOT, I've always liked the Ducati monsters but I don't know how to ride actually haha. Always meant to learn but never got around to it. Thanks for the trade offer, but since I can't ride it probably wouldn't work out well. If you still want it later on when you have more funds let me know.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
