    Default 1998 Lexus SC400

    I just got a new job that requires carrying a ladder so I have to sell my lexus to get a truck. This is a 1998 Green Lexus SC400 with a tan/2-tone interior. This was the last revision of the sc400 that has the VVT-I engine and 5 speed automatic (290hp/300tq). The car has a clean carfax with no accidents and no problems whatsoever. It is a fully loaded model with Nakamichi audio, heated seats and traction control. I also recently added 5000K HIDs as well. Right now it has just under 142k miles.

    I purchased this car just over two years ago and have meticulously taken care of it since. I bought the car at 115k miles as the second owner, the previous owner had religiously taken the car in for regular maintenance. You can take the VIN to any Lexus dealer to pull up all the service records on the vehicle from the first owner.

    Since owning it I've continued where the previous owner left off, performing scheduled maintenance ahead of time (worked in a shop where it was free to use the lifts and tools). I switched the SC to synthetic oil, changing it every 4 to 5k miles, changed the diff fluid, spark plugs, and replaced the worn stock speakers. Within the past 10k miles I put on new brakes (pads and cross drilled/slotted rotors) all around, new alternator and a transmission service (in addition to oil changes). The tires are at about 40% tread life.

    The interior is in superb condition for the vehicles age and the exterior is in good condition as well (few dings and slight fading on the hood and rear bumper). This truly is an awesome car and is one of the best models that toyota/lexus has produced. Also gets decent gas mileage (I usually get around 27 highway).

    Thanks. I hate to sell it since it has been such a good car. Just can't afford to keep two vehicles right now.

    Sup yogi...things are good...not much to report. I really need to pay off my truck I got so I'm not looking for trades. If it had a black interior I'd be asking more...but really though the tan is nice...grown on me a lot.

    I got a 2006 toyota tacoma access cab...I really like it...4wd, 6spd, trd sport. Just gotta have it paid off.
