    is the check engine light on.. or does it just come on when you first put the key in or fire it up?

    Its the same thing every other car does. If you notice, the batt light is on, RPM's are at zero, and the other warning lights are on too. It just does that when you put on the key.

    my uncle has the exact same model in the caribbean!!! hes had it since 99 and bulletproof is def the word for that motor!!! hes never ever had a problem!!! ....1
