My "new" exhaust
So it's not bought, it was made. I think it sounds excellent and it's exactly what I was looking for. Deep throaty tone but not one that'll drive you nuts. No beehives hiding in my exhaust either.
I'll post the pics and vids tomorrow sometime. I'm tired and I don't have the time. TEASER!!!
Edit: Took about 20 mins to get it up on jackstands and get everything off the car. Then another hour to get everything cut, welded, plumbed, hung, painted, and wrapped...

I know for a fact one is spotting in Buford all the time cause it was broke down on 985 and all my friends were texting me asking if it was me and if I needed assistance. Casey, I believe my Spicy might be louder than your 3. Granted after 4k when the turbo is nice and happy it all goes quiet.
Here are the pics. The vid quality isn't good so you'll just have to come to Sonic to hear. For S2KJD... that means coming out to hear it (or I could ride by).
It's just a tad more under the car than flush with the sideskirt. I likey.

I put the total time in the OP but it was just over an hour and a half.
I'm starting to think I need to re-route it to behind the car where the old exhaust used to be. I got a buddy who did it like mine and he said the sideskirt began to melt a little. He then put an aluminum piece over it and said that pretty much solved the melting but then all sorts of soot got under the aluminum.
Dammit.
hmmm good point..yeh you definatly wouldnt want anythin melting...you got a nice like weight reduction too scrapping out the factory exhaust

Yeah for real. That stock muffler weighed a ton. Might give Tyler a call and get him prepped and read to relocate.

Seriously, you guys make me feel good about shit. I decided today to keep it as is. I went by a buddies house who had done the same deal on his heavily boosted (25 psi) VR6 GTI and he said in a worse case scenerio, just put a little aluminum plate on the sideskirt and call it done. I agree. Shit's staying put. I love it.
