Chad brought us his Civic for a head gasket installation and retune. He had purchased the car already built and running, but noticed that it was running lean in higher RPM. A compression test showed that Compression Numbers were less than optimal, so we removed the head and found 2 cracked sleeves, and 3 broken pistons. We sourced Chad a new block, installed a block guard, new pistons and rods, and reinstalled the engine.
Here is the setup:
Stock D16Z6 head
D16Z6 Block
Precision .60/.63 t3/t4 SC50 trim turbo
Eagle Rods
10:1 CP Pistons
Supertech Block Guard
Skunk2 Intake Manifold
60mm throttle body
RC 750cc injectors
Jackson Racing cam gear
GO-AUTOWORKS Manifold
Tuned on Crome Gold
Here is the chart at 14-15 psi. The car had made more power before, but Chad decided to turn the boost down for longevity.
