    Stock cast pistons will not hold up to any high compression abuse you try to throw at it. One hit of detenation will kill that motor. Not to mention the highest whp sohc is a CRX drag car that has the shocker logo on the hood. 197whp is the most it made.

    At the mainstearm dyno day, a D16 made 110 to the wheels. The dude was so happy cas he didnt think it would get over 90...He had put some work into that thing I have never seen a motor so clean in my life even on show cars...

    ymm no..i have beaten a few stock ones..and a few that had simple bolt-ons as well..and that was before i fixed a few problems that were causing me to loose power.. we will do a couple of runs for fun if you want when i get my dl's back...

    honestly i don;t know...never could afford to have it dynoed..i wanted to but never did...plus whenever they had those portable dyno's at the few car show i took my car too, i never made it in time to get a slot in to have it dynoed...ftl....

    haha corvettes dont count, this is about import single cams cus there are alot of small block chevys that only have one cam that make crazy horsepower

    the highest all motor SOHC i have ever seen locally was STREET STUFFs SOHC built by bisi.

    he made 19xwhp on our dynojet. But the motor had trouble holding together, anything making that kind of power usually does
