Here's what I think should go down:

Thacker Vs Nyteryder

At a track (1/4.. which is good for both parties..since I've heard folks want to call the po-po on Thacker).

I have some on Thacker's car. This is a anything goes race.. you can run spray, race gas, whatever the heck you want to run.. Any tires (Obviously slicks would be the best). Everybody will be "ready to race". No meeting on the street and go for it type things.. A ready to roll run what ya brung track race. Maybe even at bugman's track day (that'd be awesome, since he has a track rental.. but that'd be up to him)

Would make for a fun wager.. anything could happen.. clutch let go in thacker's car, tranny break in nyteryder's.. whatever the case may be.. it should be a 1 race is all she wrote type deal.

Thoughts?

BTW: The guy who said that he knows multiple 4cyl that can beat "any" SS on the 60' and topend.. you are FAR mistaken. There are tons of SS's with 60' times in the 1.1-1.2 range that will walk the dog all over even the fastest of 4 bangers from start to finish. Some may be 1st gens, some 2nd.. some 4th.. all depends.

I am not a track junkie nor do I car for racing at a track unless it is at some IA sponsered event that I am supporting. He thinks his car can outrun me as it sits right now on motor from a dig on the street. Now you suggest we tack it to the track and he can spray. Well how about no, how about he sprays and run whatever race I wanna race.

I'm telling ya.. when your cars impounded and your in jail.. because of the extreme coverage of this event.. you'll be wanting to go to a track. You can't have something this big go down on the street. It's stupid.. Everybody is going to want to watch.

I mean you can always sneak out and do it with just a few people.. but then theres the bullshit that comes out when next to nobody's there.. Everybody wants to see you destroy Thacker.. and I want to make some money..

I say he sets you out a car or two for your launching disadvantage if your that concerned about it.

Ever since the 60's, its been run what you brung, dead stop to the 1320 and whoever is in front is the winner. It is not my fault you can't build a car that can hook. It is not my fault you can't get a transmission to hold the power. It is not my fault you don't know how to bleed your hydraulics to keep it from locking you out of a gear.

My car WILL outrun you from a dig on the street, to the 1320. With mine on motor and yours on race gas, 23.5 PSI or whatever else you want to do.

Prove me wrong, and I will shut up. Until then, you can take your roll race and stick it right up your ass.

I'll race the damn 240 this weekend, I'll go get the damn keys and do the race he wanted to do tonight 1/4 mile from a dig.. I work 6 days a week 10 hours a day so I dont have time to worry with it during the week. I agree with distortion on the extreme coverage. I think we should limit it down to 3-4 cars from each party and we go off to a random area and race 1/4 mile... keeping all this in pm. I definitely can't afford to go to jail for some bullshit.

I see no reason to give up two lenghts to a car that can run dead even with a 496 rwhp C6 z06 from a roll.
