speaking of old kills.....
(this takes place in portland oregon in 1978) the one i remember most was my dad against a kid who just got a 10 speed bike. the kid was talking how fast this bike was and that he could beat anything on two wheels. (the kid is like 10-12) i think i was a round 7 or 8 at the time.
my dad was in the drive way working on his motorcycle and over heard the kid talking so he challenged him to a race. the kid agreed that he could beat the motorcycle. the race is about 100' long starting from garage door to the driveway accross the street. my dads bike is a honda 500 four. vs. schwinn 10 spd. we blocked the road, my dad is reving the shit out of the bike, the kid is in gear ready to go. My older brother lines them up and drops his hands. My dad drops the clutch and smokes the tire all the way to the end of the driveway shoots across the street then locks up the brakes and skids all the way to the other garage door just stopping before hitting it. the kid is still in the same spot didnt even leave the line he got owned. it was funny as hell at the time. i think it is funnier that an old ass dude would race a kid. i think i would do the same thing.
