    Better looking is all based on opinion, nothing against hondas or their owners because I've never cared for the nissan vs honda thing BUT you are comparing a compact car to a luxury vehicle.. there is literally NO comparison and you are stupid if you think otherwise. I never went out and compared my G35 to a Porsche and you know why? Because the Porsche is in a totally different class and twice the car the G35 is STOCK.

    All of this "you paid twice as much to get beat by a honda" is basically you making yourself feel better about the situation cause trust me.. not one G35 or 350Z owner says "damn I wish I had of bought that del sol and dropped $15 grand into it." You're paying all that money to barely beat a car that is stock and still has a full warranty.

    first of all it wouldnt take anywhere near 15k to beat a 350z or a g35, and yea looks are all up to the individual. cause i know i would rather be driving these, than ANY G35 or 350Z.....im not some dumbass you can walk all over, i know there is no comparing imports to luxury, i know i've had a few luxeries myself, but i just get tired of people hatin on honda.....and btw if i spent 15k ima be in the 10's......thats not barely beating anything

    I'm not saying the 350Z or G35 is the better car, I'm saying they are in a totally different class and there is no comparison, its a different story with say an S2000 which is an amazing car.

    Yeah I got it last friday and loving it! Believe it or not its just as fun as the G was but I like this one better.

    lol Nothing like it, this is my first AWD car and I'm hooked now. One question, your 1-2 shift do you have to feather the clutch a little to get it to engage smoothly? If I dont it feels like the car just bogs for a quick second.. also launching is a lot harder than I thought, I havent completely tried to figure it out but from what I have experienced its a lot more complex than just revving it up and dropping the clutch.

    i kinda granny shifted it before when i was making stockish power (the rear end would go "clunk" and some boggin existed, now i can kinda grab 2nd hard and the car barks no more bogging or clunks.

    awd launches take alot of practices. try this.. study where your clutch catches and have it memorized..

    once you got that down.. pump the throttle, rev up and down keeping it between 5500-6500 rpm and start feathering out to the point of catch, the car should start moving right before it catches completely, as soon as the car starts moving dump completely (you should pretty much be right at catching point at that point)

    hope that made sense.. i had a few brewskies

    check out the bay area racing vid in the forums, in the mid of vid there is a nice example of how the revving/launching should be done in an STi.

Not to mention the many Wrx's, Rx8 and S200 I hung with or beat from a roll. so I said all that to say this.... I depends on the driver and circumstance.

    i'm trying not to dump the clutch, and just slip it at 5000rpm launch. last time i dynoed at 291hp-334tq, best pass was 13.4@102 at commerce. i know i am slow to shift, and i am trying to stretch out 4th to much.

    i wanted to data log last time, but i blew a fuse to the lighter. only got 3 passes last time, so i really just need so mre pratice. i'm trying to talk myself out of the next step, 20g, injectors, big tmic and meth.

    try pumping 5500-6krpm at the track and slip dump, trust me.. the car's drivetrain can take it (straight dumping is what it cant take for long), works out much better. in the beginning practice with the DCCD transferring as much as it can to the rear.


    im going FPgreen, injectors, Access Protuner. i've already got a FMIC, and im staying away from meth

    does not sound like commerce is a good track for anyone even awd cars and I do see some hatred toward the delsols but there are some fast ones out there mine ran a 13,8 at commerce with my clutch slipping like crazy and with my old set up should be alot faster now
