    Default FWD Match Race

Anyone interested in setting up a match race in the alabama, ga, carolinas region? need
atleast 4 cars to do it obviously. Just a thought to get through this
spell of no events to race at. 4 rules, 1: FWD, 2: 4 cyl max, 3: 25" max tire and 4: 72mm max turbo.

To be done at a good test n tune day...no Friday night madness bullshit.

Are we talking money to enter? What track, and are you trying to do it this year(2010)?

yes, whatever track will allow it/have a good test n tune day/yes of course this year. It doesnt have to happen...but its an idea to stir up some activity. depending on the car counts would determine payout, since this is an intermediate match race type thing...we can keep it low cost. if 8 people put in 75$....then thats 600$....
    1st: 300
    2nd: 150
    3rd: 150

    or

    1st: 250
    2nd: 150
    3rd: 100
    4th: 100

Something simple along those lines, the money we put in, is what is in the pot. if there is 4 cars....then you put in 100

    1st: 250
    2nd: 150

    Simple, fun

Steele is a good place that TnT's on sundays...never a huge crowd, i dont know about TnT at other places, maybe someone else can chime in, Obviously to keep cost down, we will all just have to deal with the track prep that is dealt for the TnT...which is usually good.

Sounds interesting, i mean i cant compete with your car or some of the other bigger turbo cars, unless something breaks(no pun intended). But we need stuff like this to get more people around here to get in it.

the all motor guys could put something together...but the demand for them is lower than the 600+ hp turbo cars that i know are out there in this region. also....safety shit like cages will not be enforced by the group...only a track official can kick you out for that in this situation...run what you brung just follow the 4 simple rules. I know steele is very lax on safety stuff, all drivers MUST HAVE HELMET though.

Sounds good lol. I like the idea of not enforcing the cages and stuff. Althought i dont need one, yet, i will need one soon but its not going to happen until after my wedding in april. I wonder how far steele is from macon, compared to the montgomery track.

I might go if you do in Montgomery. I dont really care for the steele track much!Do a hat drawing after each race too see who races who the following round. Now that would make it fun...hahaha

most of the time a match race would still entail at least 1 qual round...pretty much like any other race. A hat drawing format could be considered though.

Montgomery has a sunday test n tune, as well as the track at steele, steele will hook better, and provide a lot better track care than MMP will for a regular TNT. Steele has done improvements to their run out if thats why you don't like it. I ALWAYS pull 1.6 60's at steele and i never just start spinning my ass off when i cross the 1/8 marks.

Im positive an all nitrous car would be allowed since you dont see many going 10s. And im pretty sure turbo+nitrous cars would be allowed also

I didn't go, had issues that prevented the car from running on the new setup.

sure, nitrous is allowed, follow the 4 basic rules.....any supercharger allowed to, if its turbo....72mm is the max.

Not trying to thread jack your thread spoolin and if you want me to start another one let me know but i think we are wanting the samething . Something to do at the track lol. My dad has been trying to come up with a race basicaly the same thing your trying to do just have a day at the track with all the guys. He was thinking more of a team event 5 on 5 or 8 on 8 hell it can be 5 on 8 that dont realy matter and instead of having classes match each other with a close opponent evrybody wants to be competitive and everybody loves a close race why not every race be kinda close.

Ok lets say each person puts up 100 dollars ( doesnt have to be that much could be 20 i dont care ) and each race is for 100 dollars odds are each team isnt gonna win every race lets say it ends up 3 to 2 well team a with 5 team members split 100 dollars while team b splits losing a 100 dollars so you win a little or lose a little . im sure there is a good way to do it and im sure me and joey could get 5 people or 8 people i mean half could be 14 second cars dont matter how fast they are just conpetitive racing . Lets say we all get to the track make a rule if mteam a calls you out and there with in 2 tenths to you time you have to accept. I know people lies about there times but i know just about everybody at every race i go to and about what they run. thats also easy to fix if you run a fatser time then you claim to have ever run you lose thats easy.

Im sure somebody with more experince can make this way better i just feel if were gonna put a race together why not do it how we want to . There are never enough people at the races for all the brackets and by the time you devide everybody and you got your slow and fast cars per bracket there maybe two that run close to each other. I run allmotor but i would rather have 14,13,12,11,and10 second brackets atleast the races wouid be closer if you got a high 13 second car run the 14 second class just dont break out .

again spoolin not trying to thread jack you but im tired of nobody being at the races and the only close race you see is the last one in each bracket .The fact is nobody wants to race if they dont have a chance in winning . I you divded the classes by seconds nobody would give a shit what anybody was running . Most the people even build there car by seconds you get 13s you build for 12s you get 12s you build for 11s just like you wanting 9s now so it realy makes sence to me just a idea man either way im down for anything at the track just to get out the house lol.

well if we can get enough cars together to go have some fun we can make up some sort of structure to go with it.

yes, most definitely and not because of being scared, but because thats the way it is. Theres not enough cars to do what i want to do....well there is but some are up and down or they are fickle characters...but i know in our neck of the woods there are 2 of us that are ready 1 coming shortly...and another guy attempting to build a car.

if I can get mine back together, broken in, and up the boost I'd be happy to participate. Just got a lot standing in the way at the moment, namely an unfinished engine.
    Who knows?

sounds good to me had along day trying to make it to mainstream today. I got a bad vibration coming from the car trailer figure out my tire was seperating so we unloaded the hatch and dad went on mainstream . i found a used tire (im so cheap lol) in jacson and made it there before they got done so it turned out pretty to not be to bad of a day at least everything got accomplished. I honestly feel like there is so much shit that happenes to me that when something goes wrong i just fix it and keep on going like its just another day no big deal lol. I have the worst luck but ive learned to live with it.
