There are some good roads off of i20 on both sides of the forest in Anniston/Oxford. You have to get out in the county which is only a few miles from 20. I ran a few srts down there late last year and took their fuckin' lunch money. LOL

The runs in the video was on a road right off of i20. The interstate sucks right around here. There is a 4 lane hway that was paved the last few years that works great for dig or roll runs.

Thanx for the props - I try to be a stand-up guy. I am 31 years old so the days where I was grimy and there was nothing more important than a win/race wasSOOOO 15 years ago. I was a force from the time when I was 16 - 21. I miss the fun that I had but I don't miss being that guy. People take the fun out of these days --- I can get my kicks by keeping my old ass at home and letting the kids have it.
Only thing since then is Kooks long tubes with matching o/r x and a jlt intake. Waiting to get it tuned and some gears one of these days.

A bigger tb isn't needed. The oem tb flows very well for most all n/a applications. Nothing is gained from a tb with a bolt on motor. There are better places to put that money. Steeper gears are a very good addition for those years because with the head design they make good power but its all high in the rpm's so 4.10's are one of the best mods for 4v's. Using some of the online calculators you can see that at 80mph you would still be under 3000rpm. Long tubes and a tune will be good additions. Keep in mind many of the cheaper long tubes, Mac/BBK, you will have to remove the passenger side header to pull the trans if you ever needed that. I've heard hooker makes some that don't require that. Kooks will def. let you pull the trans but then your getting into the $$$.
Tons of info. out there in other forums.

Thanks for the info on the Tb! I was looking at some 4.30's for the rear, but i plan on boosting it in the long run so i'm going to keep the 3.73's in it. As far as headers, i've seen good results for the bbk, mac and the slp headers. My next purchase will be a sct tuner though.

The bbl will give good results but a lot of ppl don't know about not being able to pull the trans. You looking at supercharging or turbo?

After all this talk about gears, i hit up a calculator to figure out what mph and rpm i would be at with another gear. I found out, i don't have 3.73's but the stock gear. Inless the speedo is damn near 10mph at 70.....

If the speedo isn't calibrated then it could be off. Best way to tell is jack up the rear of the car and count how many times the driveshaft spins for 1 rotation of the wheel. Should be fairly easy to tell if it turns 3 3/4 times or 3 1/4 times.
On my old 96 I did 3.73's without calibrating the speedo and it was about 10-15 mph off.

yea in a ford 8.8 on a t5 its about 10-13 off with 3.73s and a TB does make a difference in fwhp difference between a 75mm tb and 90mm tb is 14 hp and 12 tq on a pushrod 331 stroker...just so you know. And evilZ in all honesty you can make a single 66mm turbo more efficient than a tt

Two totally different things. A stock bore/stroke bolt on n/a cobra won't make any more power. Stock on those cobra's is a dual 57mm t/b. So unless you are running some good amount of boost the stock one is all you need.
