with a passenger and some baggage

Same set-up as the old video.

In the second pull the M3 backfires pretty sweet

dude on the civic claimed over 300hp, and his car probbaly weighs nearly half of mine, it was gutted to hell and back and i was sitting on full interior. wasnt picking on anybody, just wanted to race since it was the usual bunch of people standing around. and why would you wanna race if you weren't gonna try.

no way, from factory curb weight is 2107 to 2275lbs depends were you find the info.

I thought those cars with no A/C, heater, interior, radio etc... were under the 1900lbs

A BMW's curb weight is 3250lbs, and fully gutted could get to 2400lbs, race prepared 2800lb; so your friend only took off 200lbs????

He prob weighs around 2000lbs wihtout him in it. They are light but not sub 2000lbs light. I'd be amazed if it weighed under 2000

no way he makes 300 on 9psi unless it's a 57trim and even then his powerband would be like 1000rpms

in any case he didn't move like 300whp Honda it moved like 200whp

Rafa most of them never came with ac anyways an even then most or the plastic pieces weigh nothing. Add weight back in with the turbo kit too and it's pretty marginal loss at most

That civic might make 200whp tops and as mike said its not under 2000lbs and i bet a thousand it doesnt make over 180 trq. Come down here to columbus and try some real honda's

Dude we didn't pull a gun to your boys head.... I politely drove by and ask him if he wanted to race the BMW, he ask me a couple questions and said yes....

Then my friend also talk to him before the race....

To us it was just a race nothing big nothing to dread about, it's just a race so let it go, like many others...

This the math I did in my head and I thought it was going to be a close race

M3 w/driver: 3440lbs / 380whp = 9lbs/hp
EG w/driver: 2250lbs / 280whp = 8lbs/hp

This is why I didn't ride in the M3 coz in theory we were under. In reality the numbers were off.

At 2500lbs / 206whp = 12.13lbs/hp

^ i no mike raf is a pretty standup guy because i have ran him before with my old bike.But i just thought it was kinda of funny how he would post a vid up of a race on yourtube where all the specs was wrong and the civic is not making no where near what the bimmer is.Not to mention the raf i no from back in the day would have said it wasn't worth the gas to burn.The only thing i see twisted in the thread is the facts being so far off that it wasn't even worth posting thats about it other than that the m3 is pretty damn quick

#1. we gather to have fun; some standing around talking a lot of BS (nothing wrong w/that) but some other like to have some action. my ideology is: If I want to race I race on my roller blades, if you want to race me a race you in whatever I'm driving. Ppl from back in the day know that I was the first one to hit it and the last one to leave.

#2. I you start doing selecting racing then you are going to pass as a stock up, people will say "he thinks he better than me, coz he drives a bimmer", or if you try to ask what their set is you get nothing, or you get a bunch of BS. So it's all about taking a knowledgeable guess... Popping the question... waiting for an answer.... and viola you either have a race or have to stand around and get your high schools stories ready, coz it's going to be a long night

I am sure I'm gonna get my ass handed to me by someone out there, but i take my losses just as good as i take my wins. it was all just for fun.
