Killed: Ford Pustang GT

I posted this on Honda-Tech, so I'm just going to copy and paste it as it I typed it on there.

I was hanging out at my homie's house with some friends. Just hanging out, you know. So I decide to leave around 1230 or whatever. I'm taking my friend home, but I'm kinda bored. I ask her if she minds if we swing by the BP and she says no.

[Note] BP is where some people meet on Friday and Saturday nights. It's mostly ricers, but sometimes there is a few decent rides. I just wanted to roll through and grab a dew [end Note]

So I get there and I pull up to the front and go inside. I grab a couple Mountain Dews and come back outside. When I'm walking outside I "scope out" the scene.

[What I See] A few Integras, Civics, and misc. Vdubs. Nothing really special and I decide to myself that sadly I'm probably the quickest car out here. [end What I see]

So I'm walking to my door and about to open it when a newer (not brand new) Ford Mustang GT pulls in. It's lowered, loud exhaust, chrome Cobra R wheels, and I think it's the Cobra bodykit (someone please post pics so I can figure it out) and a huge STEEDA sticker across the windsheild.

But anyhow, the guy pulls in and revs it up and kinda gets on it leaving. No biggie, whatever. So I'm leaving and I pull up to a light waiting to make a left turn down another road. The light was red and the Mustang had pulled up to go straight. The road is 5 lanes wide including the 2 turning lanes. The light turns green before I can do anything. So I decide to take this car on and I go right and catch up to him. He can tell I am coming up fast so he starts to slow down.

I pull up in 5th gear and ease past him slightly and then I let off the throttle to slow down and pace him. I'm going only about 40mph, as well as him, and my front bumper is about at the end of his passenger side door.

He drops a couple gears before I can even line up, it caught me off guard. I down shift to 2nd gear and start to reel him in quickly. By the end of 2nd I'm already getting ahead of him. I shift to 3rd and I pull past him a couple cars quickly. He hits the brakes here and so do I. I want to ensure my victory and destroy his chance of a fly-by so I rub the silly Mustang owners face in the dirt by hitting my flashers.

Another Mustang kill, these are my favorite cars to race. :P

I never "talked smack" about your car nor did I bring up price. I would question ANY car that was less than 400 or 500 bhp being called a "beast". I obviously differ in what I term as a "beast" in the car realm over the poster's definition. It happens...calm down.

nice, have you run your civic at the track? if so what's your best time? i have a friend with a GT that's a lot like the one you described (lowered with chrome cobra wheels) but he has a 125 shot on his along with most of the basic stuff. we're gonna go to commerce one friday night and he hopes to break into the 12's.

....until i read about machine work, both the block and head with forged internals, upgraded cams, etc. then I don't think you can classify it as a "beast". Now maybe if you throw a turbo on it or if it was in an old civic 600, cvcc, or maybe even a crx then you might be able to get away with it. It's basically a stock engine in a car that's lighter than it's donor and i'm sure it will tear me up too but still several seconds away from being a beast.

-Speedminded. My car has I/E and Uberdata. I'm running a 13.84@100mph with 2.1 60' and on street tires. It's definately not a beast in my opinion, but a car that is very well and out-does other H22A Civic's with more modifications. So yeah, it's not that "slow" nor is it "fast".

-Nismo, honestly you are so stupid I just won't even give you a responce because I don't want to sink to your level of ricerism. Magazine racers are cool.

Hahhah, no matter how much you try to read into my sentences or justified your idiocy...You still will not be able to point out any production cars that does 13's for under 6k (my apologies for those who are slow with internet reading) .

You can't comprehend the satisfactions of someones' abilities to put so little into a car and have a fast car because:

1. You probably get the shop to do most of your work.
2. Doesn't even know what a timing gun is or even remotely have one.
3. Last but not least --->some e-thug who thinks he is almighty because he has a friend or a uncle that has a fast porsche and want to challenge for him in a kill thread just because he doesn't like what he reads.

In my swapped CRX i DESTROYED LOTS of production cars like Mustang GTs, Evo8s, SRT4s with Mopar stage 2, and STIs. I beat almost all of them on the highway, thats right NA vs TURBO.

Now those cars were 25-30k $ cars, mine was sold for $3500. mine had no heat, no ac, they all had plenty of luxuries over my car. pick which one you want, its up to you. i guarantee i paid less insurance than they did.

lol,you talk as if ruiners car was the fastest thing around. What does it run 12.2s or something at 115....not so fast for something that costs over 100K...so its a porsche yeah. Germany rules!

My self and my buddy were merging with traffic the other day and just took off a bit and this newer red GT comes flying up beside us with the thumbs down out the window. He was clearly one of those stupid rednecks who thinks that all imports are shitty because they don't guzzle gas and have less than 8 cylinders (usually). Driver of the Integra yells to the guy "OH YEA?!". Puts in 3rd, and we did a roll. The Mustang just fell further and further behind until we slowed down, at which point he proceded to stay behind us for the remainder of the time we were on the same road.

Anyway... I'd consider a beast anything that's suprizingly faster than I/you expected it to be. There's no classifiacation for a "beast" as it's simply a matter of ones opnion (and sometimes intellegence), so why don't we all stop arguing about it?
