lol racing is what you make of it. drag racing is from a dig however many other forms of racing start from a roll. what we do is illegal racing when its not at a drag strip so there is no its this way or that way, its whatever way both parties agree to.

most faster cars want rolls because its less stress on the drivetrain and its a better judge of whos faster not necessarily whos the better driver.

what i mean by set up for a roll is that its not really set up at all.. For one its fwd (so im pulling the weigh insted of pushing it) stock suspension 7.5 wide tires and 400hp= wheelspin and im using the longer geared tranny for the b-series.but i do have an LSD. so im only really any good for a roll ( to get past the wheel spin) now if i wanted to go from digs i would get some good suspension wider tires traction bars lower geared tranny i know it would not stop wheel spin but would be better than what i got now.

Also if your going to the track friday I will run you for the hell of it Vance. I used to own a nitrous'd 00 Civic SI so I got a thing for B-series cars myself.

It was intake, exhaust and ET Streets with stock pulley when I went 12.3. Added the 2.8 pulley and went 11.77 leaving around 3000rpm. 60' was about a 1.75 leaving easy. Now it has the built solid axle and full rear suspension, so I'll be leaving on the limiter next time if the track is hooking on Hoosier QTPs, 15" greg weld drag setup. Car will be about 220 pounds lighter too.

Lookin for 11.3s next time out around 121-122mph.

you should aim for 10's with that much done. built SRA and pulley? should easily break 10's i would have thought.

Not really man. The guy working on my tranny right now went 10.96@125 with 2.9 upper and 4# lower with full drag suspension (sra and tubular K) and bogarts with a 1.44 60'. He drove the shit out of the car on that pass. Low 11s is damn good for an upper only Terminator.

Sweet, it really did not take much bolt-ons at all then just intake,exhaust,pulley. I wish that was all i had to do to mine to get it there thats awesome, shit i got lots of work in mine maybe i can get close to that with some slicks i hope.

Well I wish you the best of luck. I've never driven a front wheel drive car so I have no clue what you guys go through trying to hook up. This Cobra is my first fast car. I had an 01 cobra before this but I never raced it or took it too the track. It was slow.

Yea, its hard to hook up a FWD with any power just being a street car. Iv'e already had three mustangs before but never a cobra just 5.0 cars the 90 model coupe i had would run good i got an 8.1 in the 1/8th on street tires it had a trickflow package on it it would have been in the 7's on slicks easely. I miss the fun of the RWD but i got in to much trouble with them thats why i dont have one now but im not as wild as i use to be now so my next car will be a 03-04 cobra for sure.

a race is what you make if it, correct. but if you are only gonna do roll races then just do the random hwy races with ppl you dont know.
dig racing is also about who has the fastest car. i could drive my car like total shit and drag someone like Ievo's car, simply because my car is faster. it only comes down to a drivers race if you the cars are damn near equal.

simply put....if you didnt spend the extra money on drivetrain to race then dont call ppl out. stick with the 15 second civic club. when you call ppl out. be ready to DRAG race....which means going from a dig
