Streets of Atlanta Car Video....

OK here it is! Alot of people have been talking about it and want to do it so lets use this post to plan it. Here is the information we need to gather.

When: A Sunday night- date will be discussed via conf call only
Where to meet:
Time: evening/night- details on conf call
Total amount of "cars":
driving map/area/route:
Filmers:
Persons who can edit and host:
Place to stop and eat afterwards(?):

I think this covers it for the most part. I am posting this in here as we are looking for mostly quick to fast cars for this video. Just as those videos from Houston show. Nice fast cars are a plus but show cars aren't really wanted- sorry!!!! I say we try to plan this out at least 7-10 days in advance. This will allow many to set time aside as well as hopefully catch the good weather. It might be safe to have a backup plan if it were to rain on the day of. We also need to keep in mind of construction areas around town as this will only get us seperated from one another.

I will update this "FIRST POST" once we have "FINALIZED" certain things. This way anyone can find "ALL" the information needed in this ORIGINAL POST.

I think we should keep it to 400 whp and faster cars although we might make an exception and let the H22 beast in. I agree an off night is probably the best bet..probably sunday. It would probably be best to discuss the driving area in pms though not on the forum.

Well I would definately like to get in on this. I know of at least one other car besides myself that would want in too. I would agree that any and all specifics be kept in PM's due to the overwhelming amount of cops that read the boards. Depending on the turnout of the first run at this, there could very well be more to come which would include less horsepowered vehicles. Thats not to knock on anybody else's rides but Im sure with the limitations of this first one, those that meet the qualifications will be of a responsible and mature way so there will be no bullshit. Please let me know when we want to get this going, I'll do what I can to help make it happen.

Marshall, i know my car might not be some 11sec car.. but if you think it would be worthy of bringing out because its probably one of the better handling cars in the area, i'd definatly be there.

Is there any particular criteria for what the meeting spot should be like? I know of a few tucked away areas in gwinnett that have good lighting (daylight) and open space.. and open roads not far away.

I don't think its that much. There are quite a few cars around imports included that make that much. You just don't want to have like 50 cars running around. Look at the Houston video,i'm sure most of the cars are over 400 to the ground or close to that.

How about this- everyone with ideas of locations PM me. I have a conference line for work that will hold 50 persons and we can announce all final details on that. I will NOT post the number or passcode to that line, but will only PM. Those that know it obviously should not be passing that information along to anyone. Only people I give the number to should attend as I will know who is on the call by the administrator during call in.

As for cars that are welcome........I would have to say 400+ for domestics and 300+ for imports for a hp range. I would think Erin's 240 would be good to shoot as well as the 370hp STi. Bikes are definately welcome only if they are mature riders of course.

Those that have tagged along for mtn runs, cruises, meets and have a past record of ignorance and stupidity are not welcome. Although we want fast cars to video we do not want morons trying to flex their stuff and hurt someone. This video means nothing and is not a competition but more about having fun and having something that represents the Atlanta scene as Houston's videos do.

Any ideas on a day (Sun-Sat)??????????? We need a day and time of day- morning, evening, or night?

well i know i dont know many of you guys, but as most know i have just moved down from MI... i know i dont have the fastest car but 1 thing is for sure you dont see many 300hp vws rolling around everyday.. but if not like i said i have a dv cam and would have no problem filming & doing some editing.
