The revised heads with the coolent flow issue didn't come out untill Jan 05. No Cobra came from the factory with them. Some of the late run 04's did have 9 spark plug threads. That is the only difference.

It's your car so run it how you want, but I would stay away from WOT past 4th
Im not a ford guy so excuse my ignorance.

We have/had the same problem with our cars. However we have an intercooler built in to our intake manifold to drop the air charge temp but the system only held 2 quarts total. We generally take the cobra intercooler and attach it to our cars. I've also noticed it is very small. Why not upgrade the intercooler with one from CX racing. It holds a gallon and can probably keep your IAT2s down like they did mine. I saw a 40 degree drop.

The other option of course.... head work or methanol.

oh yea, and the ford guys manufactured us a killer chiller too
