    Default 04 Cobra vs. E60 M5

I was coming down 85 south earlier today while arguing with my gf on the phone. I looked up in the rear view and saw an M5 coming up through traffic. I told the GF to hold on and put the phone down. We were doing about 70mph and I droped it to 4th and goosed it. He didnt bite so I went back to 5th and accelerated a little bit to get past a car. When I pulled far enough ahead, He ducked in behind me. I got over in front of the car and he followed but he was right on my ass. I dropped to 3rd and layed into it. He was still on my ass so I knew he wanted to play. I hit 4th and started to pull slightly. Went to 5th and pulled even more. I got into 6th and got in to it for about 3 seconds then let out. The speedo was pegged @ 160 so Im not really sure how fast we ended at but I pulled about 1-1.5 cars on him. We slowed back to crusing speed and he pulled up next to me smiling ear to ear and giving me thumbs up. I gave him one back and got off at my exit. When I got behind him, I saw that he had exhaust which makes me think there is a possibility that he had more. He was also lowered on some nice wheels tucking the top of the tires. His car was SICK. His tag read V10 M5.

Edit: I just found out that he has a header back eisemann exhaust and tracks his car on the regular. Its good to know not everyone pu$sy foots around in these cars.

I saw that you got your car running again and that you were having fun with some 03 cobras. What was the outcome of that?

Damn, I wanted to run one of those for the longest time. Smoked plenty of '04 - '05 convertibles, but never got to run a Coupe.

    Is it stock?

Possibly both M5/6 are one of the nicest GT touring cars money can buy.

The verts arent as quick. '06 was the only Coupe until '08. It isn't stock. I'd love to run you in it...but I hardly ever get to take it out and it's typically during the day. It has minor bolt ons and a garbage tune b/c my dad is an idiot.

Well, let me know if you can ever set it up.

Bolt on Z06 vs. Bolt on SRT-10 Coupe would be a nice matchup

It's an '06. I've got a cold air intake, headers and catted X pipe, and tune on it. I don't have a cell phone anymore, so you could always just PM me on here and I'd get the message.

it was Silverstone (silver with a blue hue) and I'm not sure about the wheels. We were moving too fast I'm pretty sure I saw this car before about 2.5 years ago and I think they were a lot of spokes. Maybe like a split 10 spoke or something. They weren't chrome, but I'm pretty sure they were multi piece wheels.

Vert or Coupe? The verts are a tad slower. The coupe was only made in '06. I dont know of anyone in GA with an '06 coupe S/C, I think there are a few verts S/C, not positive on that.

Just curious, what kind of power did the SRT-C make with bolt ons? I was always curious how well they responded to mods compared to the Z. I am right at 500rwhp with my mods.

What's an SRT-C? lol I know what you mean, he made 510 I believe. He says he's "tuned" but My dad is an idiot. We wont get professionally tuned. He's contacted SCT and they sent him a tune over the net for his mods. I wish he would go to a dyno and get a real tune. So it MADE 510 but it's not a healthy 510. NAH MEAN?

What's your gear ratio? I installed 3:55's in it instead of the OEM 3:31

I have the stock 3:42 still in my car. I do have a short-throw shifter, though. Other than that, I can't think of anything else that would affect my acceleration.

^lol. It'd be a close one. As long as it isnt a dig. I can hook the viper for ****. The vette does weigh less than the viper and is a tad more aerodynamic. The Viper is currently running the 42" stock shifter. lolol
