    you need to talk to damon on here and streetcar. he has boltons for the rear and running very low 11's and should be bumpin 10's before long and he's still irs. if vettes and supras can do it, you can too

    even though i will admit it is alot easier and alot less trial and error on a straight axle!!

    I've seen '03-'04 Cobras run mid 9's with IRS... it'll take a little more power (turbo), but it can be done. There are groups that shun on guys who put live axles in their cobras.... kinda funny, but it takes a little practice... a bushing kit really helps as well. Check out svtperformance.com's tech threads. I'm sure you can dig up some info there...

    i have personally ran high 10's before on the irs. with a good set of tires and decent susp. work, you should be set!

    Oh, I know it can be done with the IRS, it just cant be done safely with the stock IRS. It would be a lot easier to just slap a straight axle in there, but I didnt buy the car just to go fast in a straight line. I want the suspension to be as curve worthy as possible. I've been over @ SVTP for quite some time and I have read up on "the red pill" and it is FULL of information to better the IRS. I plan on doing as many as I can over time.

    well we're waiting on more parts for the goat... seems they cant get the key cylinder out with out being able to turn it, so they're ordering a whole new steering rack so she'll be down for at least 4-5 more business days.... the GOOD news is that i'm getting out if this sh!tty little g6. they found me a truck, so if anyone wants to run offroad, let me know! lol
