    Default 636 against blown z06

so with hopefully warmer weather approaching sometime in the near future, also now that i have installed my dry nitrous dual nozzle kit on my 636 i want to see how it compares to a blown Z06. according to another guy from one of the ZX forums his 636 with the same kit blew away a blown Z06. iam thinking not soo much. my 636 has a gearing change of -1 front +2 back and dry nitrous kit but i don't know if it will beat up on a blown z06. just curious to see. anybody on IA with a blown z06? if so post some numbers.

mine are: 2005 ZX6R 636, gearing of -1/+2, dry nitrous kit, dynojet power commander 3. who knows of excact numbers (never had her on the dyno myself) but should be putting out over 120hp

your buddys full of it. with those mods if you run about a 30shot you should be close to my pwr level on my 750, and i would say im about even with a 550rwhp vette. after that id say the vette has the adv. if you grab hold of like a 700whp blown vette hes gonna make your bike look stupid

I'd get ahold of a blown vette as opposed to a Nitrous (ie: instant power) Corvette

he would def have to go from a low speed and try to keep the front down because bikes fall on there face most of the time when they pass 120mph theyget alot slower

well my r6 made 110 to the wheel. with a 30 jet in a single nozzle i made 145 at the wheel. i never got to race any cars on the spray but i know a 450hp na vette was about dead on for me off the spray. i weigh 220 though but i can ride my shi. either way a blown z06 will eat you. especially a new one. but hey we could be wrong. make the race happen and let us know. it could be close but you wont pull him

its not my buddy, just a guy i know from a ZXR forum. and i too thought he was exagerating a bit. but is your 750 stock? i hope not. because stock 636's run the 1/4 at alomost the same times as a 750. with my mods i would destroy a stock 750. 636's have awesome top end. thats why i thought maybe this guy could be right.

i have seen 636 and gsrx600 run and it was a damn close race. 600 rider was about 30 lbs lighter and both were good riders

no they dont, the 636 are faster than the other 600s by a bit but go check out stock trap speeds. the gsxr 750 traps about 10mph faster than a 636. and no my bike is not stock i would say with your sprocket, pcIII you should be close to a 750. you def would not destroy them. most 750s make 123-130whp stock

this does not prove that much i know, but it does prove that 636's will ride up there with the 750's. the gap between a 750 and the 636 is never much

try finding a 06 750, they dropped alotta weight and havemore pwr than the 05s. n i see your point, but i personally have never seen a stock 636 trap over 127. and thats a good friend of mines who weighs about 160 and is a hell of a rider

Personally, if this does happen I would say make your first run without spray just to see how it turns out, because I can only assume that since you've been riding for around 6 years you pretty much know how to handle a bike. How good are you with launches?

alright..... but since i know for a fact that your 750 is not stock lets see some specs.

iam not trying to sound like some cocky aszhole or anything, but my point really is that a 636 stacks up pretty close to a 750.
