3:30am and on my way home. Black M6 rolls onto the highway right next to me with dark tinted windows. He jumps behind me and rides my a$$ to the point where I can't see his headlights.

He then proceeds to do a ricer flyby and smokes down the highway. At this point I am thinking this thing is not stock and might have alittle something extra under the hood.

Finally get side by side with windows down at slow roll. I yell to him "lets do a 60 roll?" He, I guess, thought I asked if it was a M6 and he says "yes it's a M6." I repeat my question and he says, "HELL YES!" He then drops down gears and takes off.

Ok lets try this again. Flash him down and line up again. He slows to 50 and I give three honks.

3rd honk- I jump out a .5 car with ease
inching away in 2nd then hit 3rd gear
BYE BYE.... @2 cars once in 3rd.
go into 4th and add another car

Once he catches up we slow again and he ask, " turbo?"

....obviously he got drug pretty damn hard.

Lol nice kill man. This kinda happend to me awhile back with a lamborghini diablo, after the run(playing catch) dude asked me how many turbo's I had. i laughed and said, one. I didn't win, but im sure he thought he would have pulled quicker than he did.

Fair sort of. A stock C6z will pull hard on a stock M6 below 130mph and his car is a bit faster than a stock Z06 according to him. The only way this race would be somewhat fair would be if they started from 120 lol. But even the modded M6's (even though modded ones arn't much faster) are even with C6z's below 100mph. Props again for cleaning the M6

Ask 03cobraavr............he learned the difference of a 2nd gear start at 40 from a 1st gear start at 40.

I trapped 121mph at SDR. The key note to that is that it was on a 2.3 60'

Stock C6Z I have seen in the 125/126ish range. A cammed C6Z would be just ugly and I have not seen any of those times.

The stock C6Z's that are in the mid 120's are running 1.6-1.8 60' times. Notice the difference from their's and mine and that explains why my trap is slower at the track from a stop, but from a roll I outrun them.

Yeah big african american guy? He use to play pro ball for the Falcons and now plays for Florida?? I believe. I've met him a few times at Road Atlanta, he's really cool. As far as I know that car only has suspension,software and a 3.91 LSD to make it go faster. Like I said even the modded one's are barely fasster than stock...that'll change in the future...hopefully.

yes brian you are an idiot but no 60' does not effect trap speed very much at all look at the times ronnie posted also when i was at brainerd i went from 2.0 60' to 1.68 60' and guess what mph was higher on the slower 60'

I think it varies as GTSlow stated his experience at the track.

Still doesnt really explain how some of the listed vettes run amazingly fast traps on the same 60' of others running 4mph slower.

My cam is definately an "up top" cam and pulls the most once in 3rd. This leads me to believe if I can get out of the hole better I would improve my time as well as mph due to my setup.

Here is the vid of the stock C6Z vs a modded M6. Not sure of power output of the M6 but he had headers, tune, etc etc etc.

Runs started at 45mph and from 2nd gear in both cars. Now Lankhoss and 198plus can vouch that a 45mph start in 2nd is a slug. They ran to 190, for what reason I dont know, but the challenge was if the M6 could be ahead of the Z by 160mph.

Due to the Z owner not knowing how to drive the M6 was by a car or so.

Interesting read on the bimmer boards either way. Get that Z in 1st from the jump and that would have been dead even at 160mph. Up to 190mph the M6 owns it but come on......190mph race.
