all i'm saying is that the vq35de is not as responsive as most "performance motors"lol what ever you say billy, this is why a stroked n/a puts down 400? thats like 170 horse more then stock? pretty damn good for a itty bitty 3.5l that would rather be sideways then in a straight line, silly lsX drivers, i am going to go kick mine in the shin for your lack of knowledge
and yes nitrous can make anything fast. hell if speedmonkey were to put a kit on his astro van it would be fast too
were i sit ill be low 13's to high 12's not bad for a slow bolt on vq that likes her ass sideways
you have to realize that your dispacement on a LSX favor bolts on more then my itty bitty vq, but i do know a lil silver one with nismo wheels that will hand almost any lsx on this board its ass on a silver z platter

3k and an amazing tune will get you 280 plus(lets remember that a nonrevup/hr vq dynos 220-235 stock depending on tranny choice), not bad considering a good turbo build with the same quality brands will cost you 8 to 10k to get reliable boost on stock internals (6 to 8 psi, and 350 to 400whp max) for that same amount you would spend on boosting it you could do a stroker kit and get the same results

The guys running the strokers that i know are fi... On a gtm 4.2 stroker on 12psi are making 550+rwhp. To bad the gtm stroker is 8k, plus the turbo kit of choice and better turbo/s.
The 07 STOCK makes 250+rwhp. With minor bolt ons the 07 should break 280rwhp. The non revup(which i have) made 231rwhp stock... with Test pipes, drop in filter, plenum spacer and a y pipe i amde 256rwhp. So a 25rwhp gain for 720 bucks.

With stickies...even though the power has been increased it doesn't make it that much easier to get better times then current, power has to be increased exponentially or weight reduced big time to take a low 14 high 13 to a low 13 high 12 without the use of traction enhancers, at least on our platform.

Depends how it's built, taking it to 4.2 liters by itself will increase at the very least the torque output of the engine, more than likely the power would increase fairly well, I wouldn't hold my breathe and say it would break 300whp though.
Unless it was built like an M3, high rev's with a good cam combo and high compression.

True. The VQ35DE isn't as happy with bolt ons as the new HR engines at all, you will be hard pressed to push N/A power out of the VQ35DE, most of the high compression motor builds at stock displacement have netted a little over 300whp with the highest coming in from Australia at 350whp.
