This thread makes me yawn.
all i'm saying is that the vq35de is not as responsive as most "performance motors"Quote:

were i sit ill be low 13's to high 12's not bad for a slow bolt on vq that likes her ass sidewaysQuote:

ok 300hp but how much do you have to spend to break 280+hp on a vq35de? yeah thanks.Quote:

The 07 STOCK makes 250+rwhp. With minor bolt ons the 07 should break 280rwhp. The non revup(which i have) made 231rwhp stock... with Test pipes, drop in filter, plenum spacer and a y pipe i amde 256rwhp. So a 25rwhp gain for 720 bucks.

With stickies...even though the power has been increased it doesn't make it that much easier to get better times then current, power has to be increased exponentially or weight reduced big time to take a low 14 high 13 to a low 13 high 12 without the use of traction enhancers, at least on our platform.Quote:

So has anyone raced? Nothing but abunch of blah up in here.
True. The VQ35DE isn't as happy with bolt ons as the new HR engines at all, you will be hard pressed to push N/A power out of the VQ35DE, most of the high compression motor builds at stock displacement have netted a little over 300whp with the highest coming in from Australia at 350whp.Quote:
