Goin home from Bp last night, me(in my 03 maxima) and Nitro(in his Slobaru) goin down 316 spotted a yellow evo. looked and sounded like it was stock, but anyway we all know they all come boosted stock.
got to buford drive at the red light and lined up with him, light turned green and i gave him the bidness. he didnt spool up because he probably wouldve have kill me.
i pulled on him in 3rd gear and put about a half car length on him then let off.
Next in line was nitro. Basically they started from a roll and nitro just rode his ass:idb: for about a 1/4 mile.

Sounds like a regular Lancer, not an Evo. Even with a few mods to your Maxima, a stock Evo FROM A DIG would still pull away.

Maybe he wasn't really trying. The only yellow Evo I know in that area is Kuba and his is modified.

i used to murder stock evo's all day long in my altima !!!! but what some people dont realizes is how much potiential is in the maximas and altimas. as far as running a evo from a dig thats just retarded, but from a first gear roll murder !!! i dont think he was really tying to run if your beat him from a dig.

An evo is a 'family car' too, it's just a lancer with a wing, 4g63, and AWD.
Actually, now that I think of it....stock for stock, there's not a TON of difference powerwise in a VQ and a 4g
