    Default Spotted then Killed: Black GS300/400? w/ Angel Eyes

    So I was cruising down 285 towards the Varsity by P'tree Rd. when an all blacked out GS300 or 400 (De badged) comes up by me which looked very clean...even had angel eyes which made me laugh. It looked like he was rolling on ASA AR1 wheels (not black) with a big lip and had a gorgious rear lip and exhaust. Everything looked good except all the stickers on the back windows I.M.O. Anywho we started messing around and he was infront of me before the Ashford Dunwoody exit and the highway suddenly opened up. I'm almost positive he didn't floor it right away but we both got on it at about 85 (I left it in 5th) and I stayed glued to him until about 105 when I saw black smoke ploom out more..He didn't really pull hard but by 140 he had 3 or 4 lengths on me...I should of fucking downshifted, it felt slow and I had passengers...oh well. Anyway I thought he was going to the Varsity that night but he went 400N. Anyone know who this is? I'm curious to find out.

    Thats tony. Its a 300 and im pretty sure its all show.

    Really..then my car has less then I thought it had in 5th. You sure its all show? He had it running 145-150 strong.

    Almost positive...... and your talkin about a Lexus GS weighting in at 4500pds 20s, body kit, system. Its a heavy ass ride. But nice job anyways. i guess

    The rims wern't bigger then 18's. I'm pretty sure it just had a front lip and TRD grill and some kind of circular eye lids..no body kit but not 100%. The car was relatively clean like I said, it didn't look to much like a show car. There was no way it was a stock motor wise/show only GS300 as I've run 430's before and my passenger could of sworn it had a V8 as it sounded very throaty but I couldn't get a good enough listen with the windows down as my passenger. I have a feeling a GS300 witht 20's 300lbs of system etc would have trouble reaching 145 mph in a short sprint before an exit

    Yeah it had some performance stuff on it...maybe even a turbo? Anyone know?

    if it was black... with 18's it could have been jamie... he's got a gs400 turbo.. bbs wheels... its clean.. i don't think he has alot of stickers though. he runs low boost cuz its a daily but i believe his best time to date is a 12.6... not bad for a full size family car with full interior and a few lbs of boost.

    It was me. I was going to my ballgame up in Alpharetta, and was running late.

    You were right, I wasn't trying to run at first. Like I said, I was running late so I was just rolling a little bit. By the time I noticed the BMW keeping up, I was almost at my exit hence why we didn't get to stretch her legs out all the way.... Besides....I had the family in the car and I don't like to play with them in the car with me.

    I figured you were going to the Varsity. I even texted a buddy of mine telling him to find you when you got up there, but he didn't quite understand the text.....

    I'm actually very impressed that you could figure out so much about my car from merely me passing by you on the hwy. You had everything almost on the money. My spoiler is a Greddy 3 piece, the exhausts are Tanabe Racing Medallions, and the wheels are BBS RSGT's but I saw some ASA's the other day on another car and they do look almost identical to my BBS's.....wish I'd known that before I bought mine....

    BTW, the stickers are mandatory as they are all sponsor stickers, otherwise there would be no stickers at all. It's a small sacrifice considering what my guys do for me, so it is what it is.....

    Anyway, I guess now you know for sure.

    Haha now this certainly is the guy. Your car is very clean man. I loved it. I've been car insane since I was born, so picking out the details was a snap and let me tell you yours is exactly how I'd do it. I knew it was most likely a 400 because it seemed throaty but not to loud. When I saw the black smoke ploom I wanted to say Turbo..which made me think 300, but then I thought about the exhaust tone which made me think catless/N.A 400 (but not loud?? haha I was confused), but a Turbo 400 is a big suprise.. def. a sleeper and a car I gotta check out some time. Hopefully I'll run into you at some of these meets so I can get a closer look. I knew you wern't on it at first and me and my passenger applauded as you walked away when you dopped the hammer as we struggled to keep you in sight..haha I knew even if I had downshifted it wouldnt of been much of a race.

    I wish I could of done the same. I sold the 540 about a year ago and I miss it to death. Gears and a few bolt on's made that car an absolute beast.

    I was in a hurry and caught glimpse of you guys out of the corner of my eye when I was weeding thru traffic. Once it lightened up, I looked up to see you guys were right there. Finally, you know what happened....

    Major props for you being cool like this about it. It was kinda one of those impromptu things that was kinda fun for a sec.

    Do come check her out sometime. It's my DD, so I'm always up and down the roads with it.

    BTW, the halos were custom made by a buddy of mine in Louisiana. I was actually the first GS with them in the country. I may talk to him about swapping them out with the newer brighter ones and re-touch up the housing to keep it blacked out.

    I may upgrade to a stand-alone ECU soon and then I can run more boost safely. I'm running very low boost since I'm only running a SAFCII now. If I could run something like 12-14 psi on her safely, THEN she'll run REALLY good.... Right now, the turbo is a bit of overkill since it's only running 8 psi, you know? The turbo's efficiency range is really around 15-20 psi, so keeping it well below that will keep it healthy for a while. I've already put 30K+ miles on it so far, knock on wood.

    Anyway, I look forward to meeting you at a meet sometime.

    Sounds great. Hah I always love short burts of fun on the highway. I loved the Lexi with the angel eye's. It makes me sad that my very own current BMW dosn't have them yet..I'll get around to it soon, I just have to many other things on the list. I'm always at the BP/Varsity and sometimes the N.P meets. Can't wait to see it when it gets the stand-alone. 12-14lbs sounds thrilling..About what i'd run if I went with a T.R.M kit like Rafa's 332 if you know that car. My car is more of a track set up/track rat car vs. show and sheer speed but I'll get her up to turning heads standards eventually. My motor is vertually stock other than intake/exhaust/flywheel.     Was this in the 540/6? I really really reallyyyy wanna build one with a remote twin turbo setup, H&R or KW coil-over dampener for the M5, an aggresive limited slip, custom brake setup using the porsche big red 6 pot caliper, etc....
