IMO even if the TT350z DID win on race gas and like 20+psi (and it wouldn't be by a very wide margin).... doing something like that to your vehicle that absolutely destroys the reliability of the motor just to compete with a LSx motor that performs like your grenade-o-motor on a reliable, long-term, daily basis is hardly what i call a 'win'Quote:

can't argue with logic, man :) besides, all it takes for him to win, at that point, is another bolt-on. Though I give some respect, the TT 350z is certainly a fast car! handles really well i'm sure!
Probably wont happen.....Quote:

I'd race you in my G35. I do the 1/8mi and you do the quarter. :p
I'd love to race an even match against you, but It's too embarrasing for me. I need $$ to do a 4.2 stroker kit and TT it, then it'd be so much fun :)
What is done to your G35?
That video only shows what I was talking about.. TT VQ's make nice numbers and they're fun but they are not geared for high horsepower.. you can see the 350Z shift at least 3 times and dropped back significantly every time.Quote:

All it takes is a little bump in boost/timing and it covers that "another bolt-on". ;)
How would it not be reliable though? Revving the crap out of the motor will kill it faster than using higher octane.
He may mean that the new Z06 comes with an optional 100,000 mile warranty. A 10sec car with a 100,000 mile warranty is unheard of.
For the same amount of money that an Evo has in it, you can make the Z06 just as fast and probably faster. Which isn't taking anything away from the Evo, but it takes much less to make a V8 faster than a 4cyl.

Oh, and I forgot about the couple Evo's running minimal mods and a 75 shot running in the 10's.
that about sums it up right there.Quote:
