Silver-ish MazdaSpeed 6 vs stock RSX (Blue)
Yeah so my friend raced a MazdaSpeed 6 with an exhaust system, on lawrenceville/suwanee road last night. DAMN, Mazda's are slow as hell! Keep in mind that we were in a stock RSX, the 2 cars were neck and neck from the stop light, until about 40-50mph when the mazdaspeed 6 pulled about half a car, then stayed there.
The moral of the story, children, is that MazdaSpeeds are slow POS

How fast is a emu from a dig? Do you increase response by applying Tabasco sauce to it's nether regions?
appearantly someone didn't know how to drive their MS6... or launch it for that matter... especally if some solw POS RSX was hanging with it off the line. I drove one at the Mazda Zoom-Zoom live and the car was fast and it launches good.. i would know.

It doesn't matter that the RSX lost, it's a NA, front wheel drive econo-box. But for Mazda's self proclaimed King-dingaling of AWD to only pull ahead by a few feet. That's sad.
I dont have much to say about his driving skills, but trust me, the guy was giving it all he had. I mean, he was sitting there masturbating his engine through the whole red light.
I've ran a MSP6 before & it was completely stock, surprisingly they're not that slow from a roll .. & YES it'd definitely crush a an RSX-S
Yea i test drove one last week. Not that slow, at all but there clutches feel horrible. Also drove the speed 3 which i think is alot faster. both will beat rsx type s.

Well I have never had the urge to drive one (or even touch one) but from what I saw, that shit was slow. If I was in my car, I would have shown him what AWD is.
In a straight-line race? Come on man.Besides, the MS6 isn't real AWD. It just has that spin-sensing torque split or whatever.
The MS6 is okay, but it's heavy and feels a lot more sluggish than it is. At least IMO. I preferred the feel of the MS3.

arent all MS6 turbo? if youre saying it wasnt turbo, then it probably was just a 6 with badges swapped. MS6 is a 14 second car stock.
Yes all are turbo. But just like every other make has its idiots, im sure people are putting the mazdaspeed emblems on to 'scare' people.... just like type-r badges keep everyone away from accords.
The RSX-S is a 14 second car (from factory) as well. All the RSX had was a good set of tires.
I don't know what you've been told, but AWD is really only good in straight lines, or un-even terrain. A rear-wheel drive set up will always be the optimal choice for curves.In a straight-line race? Come on man.
The MS6 doesn't run the 1/4 mile much faster than the RSX-S does. Except the RSX-S has a highed trap-speed. Throw some KDW's on the RSX and it's gonna bring down the 1/4 mile times.
since you didnt specify whether or not you have a rsx-s or just a base, or which year, i gave you the benfit of the doubt in my research at car and driver website:

Im pretty sure the speed6 was my friend. Do you remember a magnaflow sticker on the rear glass? His version of the story was that he 'killed' a rsx. I asked if it was the type s, to which he replied 'oh yeah'. He is known to exaggerate so I am not suprised. However, he has run a 13.9...what has your base RSX ran?
Wal-Mart: the speed6 vs. the regular 6 is pretty easy to spot...more than just the badges. Speed6 has dual exhaust and totally different rear bumper, projector HIDs, factory 18s, bigger brakes, other stuff I am forgetting.

Most turbo cars, from factory are slow.Evo,sti,mazdaspeed6,srt-4,etc ,on the highway are not that fast.....But if you were to change the turbo,like a gt35 on any of those cars,you will see a big improvement..
You must not know much about cars at all. Those cars are all good on hwy. Most evos on the street are on stock turbo and trust me i waxed plenty of cars on the highway. Also those cars are really fast from factory compared to other cars from factory.

Me I'm not one to talk shit about racing and crap. I bought my car to have fun and a play toy to mod plus I loved a boosted car don't care if it's a DUb, EVO, Audi, MSP boosted cars are fun. I think that was me in the White MS6 against the Black SRT-4. If so we ran back to back and I beat him. With his new setup and better tires, I couldn't hang with his car now. BUT!! I'm in the process of upgrading my Turbo/IC/ECU etc....
Now as for the RSX-S. I raced those when I had a V6 Mazda6 (MTX) And I ran right next to them with no problem.

MS6 are those times from when you were stock? PS: would you be down to do some runs with an 06 WRX... before i got my WRX i did look at the new MS6... but it was way more than my Subaru.
Im sure if we do run it'll be some pretty damn close ones.
