He means a vga out on the laptop. That will convert it to video to go to the video in on the tv. That is the only way I know of.

I'd recommend getting a new setup... otherwise get a big monitor.

I am looking to upgrade my computer soon and just use HDMI to my tv. Currently I am running VGA and a 3.5 mm sound from pc to tv, and it's ok, but the aspect isn't all that great. Once I go hdmi though...

You would need a modulator (a VGA modulator). Totally not worth the cash (~$100) unless you absolutely need it for some reason. Not only that, but your RCA/co-ax only TV can probably only do a maximum resolution of 640 x 480. It will look like bhutt
