    Default Internet problem??? Need helpp!

The other day my computer was acting really sluggish online. While I was using it, mozilla firefox froze on me. So I restart the comp and now Mozilla won't even come on after I double click it or anything, and when I try to use Internet explorer it opens up and hardly works. Everything else seems to be working fine and I can even play games online. So any help is much apreciated on finding a solution and reps for replies!

run a virus scan: malwarebytes is a good one.
Download CCleaner and run registry/ any other cleaner.
    Report results.

Yeah CCleaner is going to be a really good bet, but don't get conned into paying for it, you can download it for free.

    start, run, CMD
    Netsh winsock reset
    restart

clear all temp, history and cache.

restore I.E. and firefox to defaults. browsers download various add ons that can mess things up.

    run malwarebytes, superantispyware.
if all else fails, download chrome.
