    what do i need to install Ubuntu. do i need to first install a linux os and then ubuntu.. any details or info would be helpfull. also any sites... thanks guys...

    www.ubuntu.com

    Download the CD Image, burn it to a CD, then install it from the CD. Its pretty simple. You can even install it through Windows if you want.
