    Default my recycle bin

    is gone.. i can only get to it by searching...

    how do i get to it to make it a shortcut again on my desktop...

    right click create shortcut ...

    Right click desktop > Personalize > Go to the Vista equivalent of the "Desktop" tab, and hit Customize Desktop. Choose what shortcuts you want to view including Recycle Bin, Computer, Documents, etc.
