    Default New Intake Pics

Got the new intake in, this is the temp setup - Going to move the Batt back and change the 60 degree to a 90 and then turn down in front of the batt. I'll be able to get way down in the front when the Batt moves. The Cryofuzion will still be in place just a different angle. It will then break into two filters as it goes down. I just wanted to see and hear the dfference. Definately made the growl deeper goin up to a 3" pipe.

Yep the old setup was very Frankenstienish, I am glad I finally found a parted system the combos are limted only by one's imagination. Oh and I found out last night an all aluminum version is in the works now too.

why a 3' intake when the TB looks like 2' or maybe slightly bigger?
i mean, whats the point of the big piping if it gets bottlenecked?

the cryo stuff, does that ACTUALLY do anything?

The 3" does go down to 2.5" inches and it would be cool if I could get a 3" TB for it, agree. The point? lol Heat! The air is cooler in the larger pipe and the reduction from the 3 to the 2.5, eha I don't see it as "that" bad, because of the reducer having smooth form, it flows quite well. Now as for the cryo part, it does do exacty what it is intended to do. When chilled it will drop the ambient temp to the TB by 80 degrees from a hot engine bay. You know the routine, colded densier air. . . Now at some point if I added a SC to the mix then the Cryo would be killer because the SC would love the cold. Ask anyone with a SC the will tell you when its colder the the better the SC puts out. Same thing would be true for an intercooled Turbo if you had that (cryo) in line with the cooler you get even more of a drop in the return air temp = more power.

I got my kit today. I cannot wait to put this baby on. All the parts I got where top notch. I made the mistake and ordered the wrong air filter though. So I don't know I might have to go down the street and buy me a spectre filter

Yeah I hope I get a chance this after noon to put it in. I was a bozo and ordered the wrong filter so There gonna get me a new filter by friday. I have another branded filter but it will just be a temp to get the intake on the car.

PS: all the pipeing with my kit is metal, no plastic like some of yall would of thought.

Glad you receive a metal pipe bro and like it but you guys need to think about this for a second. The reason that K&N, Volant, Airaid, ECT are using plastic piping and shrouds (some coated like Spectre) is to keep the piping cool. These companies like Spectre also make them with aluminum for people who want aluminum but the plastic is keeping the air more compressed/denser and that creates more combustion which equals more power. Have you ever tried to grab a metal pipe after a two hour run? Try it with plastic, its still holdable and the whole idea. Smart IMHO…
