SPONSORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need an engine for my newly acquired '95 Honda Civic. I need some prices on engine and manual transmission. The current engine is not firing on cylinder #2 and the tranny is popping out of gear. Help me out with some prices. I am looking to purchase something by the weekend. Thanks but I would rather have a d-series. I am not looking to do all of that to this one. I just need a plain engine for it, nothing that expensive. It is going into a car that I will be selling soon. Not for personal use. haha. i just need something to get it rolling again.

I have a d16y8 bottom end and a d16y7 head both out of 98 civics
both have about 80,000 miles.
the y8 bottom end had a knocking in it, prob needs new bearings,
the head is in perfect shape
you can have both of them for 60$
or 40$ for the head
and 30$ for the bottom end

what swap are you looking for.

$2700 for a 99 GSR swap that is complete with 30k miles is INSANELY cheap

^^ I agree, that GSR is VERY cheap. Especially if Vteckidd can prove that it has 30k on it. Some jap engine places will tell you it has 30k but can't prove it. And which jap places are you talking to?

I am ONLY fixing it to sell!!!!!!!!!!!!! So putting a B18C in the car is NOT worth it for me because no one is going to want to give up $4000-5000 for the car, unless I ebay it or autotrader it and even then it is still maybe. I am not trying to hold on to this car. I paid $1200 for it and if someone wants to take it now then feel free to. I have about 8 cars right now. I just get them from auctions or whatever and try to flip them when I can.

That does sound like a great price if it is for engine, tranny, axles, comp, etc. but it is just NOT the type of money that I am trying to put into THIS particular car (I bought it to sell and to sell only). Now if you can find a K20 to go into my '02 Civic then cool
