Let's vote on a Day and time... somewhere between 6-8 pm to meet...
I had said before in another thread that my boss will have no issue letting us meet at the restaurant, so we don't have no trouble from the cops for loitering and shit anywhere else...

The weekends are also an option.... if you guys would like... and the only day that is not good is Tuesday cause we are closed.

I know there is a meet at the varsity.. i drive by there on my way home... but it's mostly domestics... so I've been talking to other peeps on other forums... and we trying to get something going weekly for Athens....
If you are down... let me know the best date for you....
It would probably be around 7 or so... during the week.
monday nights are best for me, saturdays are good too.

I dont think you will get a good turnout on weekely meets. We only had trouble with loitering at the V actually...kinda odd but they had good reasons due to what was going on. If you get a lot then I might come. I always liked Thursday because next day is Friday. Weekends and Friday nights are always going to be dead because everyone is out doing something else.

why dont we just do every thurs night at locos if you want a weekely meet? starting in a month.
Trust me i work in a restaraunt, days earlier in the week are the slowest, like monday.

what does slow matter?
slow helps because we would (optimistically) take up a large portion of the parking lot and the inside... it would be a nusience on the servers and a disruption to the people who actually want to eat.

i don't really know if this weekly idea will work... there is a small crowd already. i don't know if they will be the enthusiasts that would come to a meet every week. I mean... honestly... i am obsessed with cars sure... but i wouldn't show up every week.
i also have never seen you at any of the other meets....how bout this? why don't you come our meet the 25th and we can talk about this idea between everyone. See what they think about this. And not to mention this would help because not everyone that comes to the meets is on IA.

Well the idea for a weekly meet sprung, from talking with members of like 10-15 other forums that live in the area... it may not be a "BIG" meet or anything, but it would be something to do weekly... and we'd do something different weekly... like meet at the restaurant, chill and eat and loiter outside (except we wouldn't get in trouble cause I have permission to use the parking lot) and then go shoot pool, bowling, watch a game... have some drinks at a bar...., go to the track, drive to ATL for a meet there or something...
All that in one night? Or just at random meets lol.
A lot of the people who come to these meets, are under 21...
Like I also said before, loitering has never been an issue at our Athens meets, except once at the V because some people.
I vote for a athens sonic meet on mondays and loco's on thursdays. both once a month. Second week, the monday at sonic. The fourth week, a thursday at loco's thats 2 a month. plenty... and it changes the scenery and its set in stone...
that sounds best, because even if we had weekely meets, I love meets, but like hell i'd go EVERY week.
