got any more pics of the intake manifold setup? it's certainly something different.

i had a built yellow '88, still one of the coolest bodies from the 80's.

I used to think those cars were damn ugly, all the ones in Cali are broke down. Not only has my opinion changed, but wow, man you're car is yellow and it's still hot.

    Hi

Thanks everyone !!! I've been working on it for awhile ! I still have some things to add . I running a GT35 Garrett turbo with all the inter's in the motor. I run 14 lbs on low and between 20 - 25 on high. I was messing with the gain control on my Greddy Profec B 2 and the boost kind of got away from me and hit real close to 30 lbs before I could get off of it . It ran good for 4 days the started leaking ant-freeze between head and block . still had good psi on all the cylinder pull the head, it blew a pieace of gasket out. Replaced and runs good. I'm going to add a 2 stage Zex system and a street bar.. I do have a question I've been thing of adding Lambo doors, what do you think ?? The car is factory Yellow had it repainted about 5-6 yrs ago. it stay's covered all the time. I have almost 4000 miles on the new motor, trans and rear end. I built the intake my self just to have someting different and it seems to be working real good. Here is a link and more detail on my car if you get a chance check it out . there are pic's of my intake system

    thanks once again
this is my 7th conquest and 2nd starion
Hope everyove has a great X-mas and a happy new year and you get all those car parts for X-mas for your ride

i'm really liking the twin throttle body setup on the modified manifold. is that a caravan manifold or the stock conquest one? did you do the fab work on it? it's the first really different way i've seen of going to MPFI and probably was relatively cheap. the injector bosses were probably more expensive than the throttle bodies, lol.

oh, and i'm another big NO on the lambo doors. i beg of you don't do it. use all that cash and get something more functional like having a carbon or fiberglass '83 style hood made to shave weight off that sucker.

    Hi

Thanks I have pertty much have made my mind up !! NO LAMBO DOORS
anyway. Just wanted to see if I made the right choice

    Thanks for your Input!

On the Intake it is the stock one. the 2 frt cylinders are on the frt TB and the rear 2 are on the Rear TB . I do have a bleed over tube to help any uneven boost pressure. The runners are about 8.75" long with a built in 5 degree taper. The injector bosses were not that bad. Like 15.00 to 20.00 each. The TB's I got off ebay 100.00 each 65mm's. I added some extra bosses to the water jacket for extra sensor's. I had the intake powder coated Blk vinly and the boss caps coated in Red. Turned out real nice.

very cool. a lot of this stuff has come a long way since i was playing with mine. pretty much everyone at the time was doing the aussie manifold with the Hawk standalone or people were just starting to get turned on to Megasquirt. this is the manifold i was using:

it would've worked nicely in theory, but was built by a guy that had no clue the proper way to weld aluminum so it was full of leaks and other stupid issues. yours looks to be much simpler and with those style injector bosses you wouldn't have the issue of fuel rail sealing that i was having as well.

great project, hope to see it in person sometime.

no, unfortunately i parted it out a few years ago after sinking way too much money and time into it and it still needed more. it was also a factory yellow '88 with black cloth interior.

the only things i did beyond those pictures (besides simplifying the engine bay) is an SFP tubular manifold and a new T3/60-1 to replace the blown T4/60-1 that i had on it. if i were to build another it would definitely have an engine swap in it though. the G54b is a stout motor but it just doesn't flow as well as i'd like.

another member on here found my old shell behind some shop being parted out not too long ago and i beleve the chassis has been scrapped by now.
